Basicly a modified graviteam Afgan campaign.  Main changes consist of intergrating 2 tank platoons into bmp/btr platoons in order to make reinforced mech infantry platoons.  The removal of one arty spotter and replaced with 4 mortars for on screen arty.  (fun to play with)  Infantry are no longer tied to their bmp/btr.  this does has an issue as their is no correct text in vanilla game for this.  Game reports them as Huh crew.  That is annoying but will fix it in mini mod 2.0.  Bunch of little things you may or may not notice.

Oh ya this requires no mods as well.

If this mission crashes out on you please let me know via forum.  Attempting to locate a pesky crash bug.  I do not think it is in mission but my current build of v2.0 minimod.  So IF it crashes on you please tell me what if any mods or lack there of you are using.  Also no not know if local language support for German or Russian are getting picked up by mission.  This was a total config file hack job mission (no use of editor) so it may pick up local language support if it is build into mission.  Would really like to know this.....


This is why I have not released what I have done just yet.....still working out the kinks  Grin.

OK after playing around with the detached mech infantry squads I don't really think it adds anything to mission and is really more of pita than anything else.  If I end up bundling this into mini mod 2.0 will change that back.  Comments are encouraged.    Grin.  I do like the detached infantry when on defensive though, just really annoying on the assualt.  I will have to keep that in mind for next mission I make.

modded or unmodded?  This one I have issues with with current build of my mini mod V1.9.  But vanilla no problems.

Well just finished Mardga redux.  Keep in mind it was just a modded graviteam default.  Geeeezzzzz lost a zillion btr and bmps in last 3 turns.  Only lost 2 t62 to fire and one to55.  One t62 decided to go for a swim........that did not end well.  Lots with repairable damage.  But after that play thru I am going to do a Mardga Redux Expert mod of mission.  It will be hard and require player to maximize the effectiveness of what they get in equipment.  Will release that one with mini mod 2.0.  Should be a suprising ass kicker as the enemy will have no tanks.   Tongue  Also the next mission I shall be working on here in a few minutes (working title, the road) is going to be heavily influenced by what I did in Mardga redux.  Will be Iraq/Iran mission on susengerd map.  T62 Iraqi mission.  That should be enough new or renewed missions for my minimod 2.0.   Tongue  Will rework the old to add in F5e and .50 cal as well.  Hopefully this may APOS patch gets finished soon so they can make new SABOW patch.   Grin  Yes I am selfish.   I love this freaken game.  Been playing/modding it for nearly 6 months and I still get suprised but what can happen.   Grin

Margda REDUX Expert should be done.  Well i think it is done lol.  This one is changed quite a bit.  Will be bundled in with minimod and next release.  However..........I still need testers.  Have one completly new campaign and 2 modified ones that need to get tested along with mini mod v1.9.  Would love feed back on Dystopia V1.1beta.  I have not even been able to play the darn thing.   Cry  Been too busy making stuff.  If you want to take it for a spin post or pm me.  All I ask this that any text issues, crashes (there shouldnt be), or anything that is way unbalanced or way to easy get reported or posted.

What is this mini mod?  The mini mod is a collection of modified SABOW units, squad, or teams that I created for my campaigns.  Most of it is simply "rebranded" equipment that is not present on one side or the other in default SABOW.  Others are custom formations such as deticated anti tank teams and such.  There have been 3 released versions so far starting with Crescent Moon.  Somewhere along the way i started adding in little models of of mine.  The energa anti tank rifle grenade for instance.  For next release (sometime after next patch) I have included an M1 style helmet, g3a3 battle rifle, rdg2 smoke hand grenade, 40 mm rifle fired smoke grenade, of course the energa rifle grenade and modified red unita head gear you see in Operation Safari and Dystopia. The goal has been to seamlessly intergrate within SABOW.  If you always thought it was there then I did good.   Cheesy

Well I feel Mardga redux expert (not released) is much better than Mardga redux.....I think I will be starting over the whole campaign from editor using only my div pool file and recycled text from original graviteam campaign.  The ai flag placement for North West corner and orders are not well suited for detached recon team with a T62.   Grin  Lucky for me the balancing and div pool aspect is largly done so I will attempt to remake original campaign with some selected adjustments.  Work on that tonight.   Tongue

Personally I enjoy the orginal campaign but is just to easy for an experienced SABOW tank junky.  I know this modified campaign is not popular at all (download numbers are really bad  Tongue) But I am going to do it anyways.  Will bundle it up with minimod after asbow patch.  If i where you I would just ignore this modded campaign and wait.   Grin

Wow I have gotten REAL fast at making campaigns.  Just got the basics done for what I am calling Mardga 2.0 Expert.  My modded div pool files from mardga redux with completly new ai placement and orders.  Well thats why it went so fast, the hard stuff was already done  Tongue.  Still has no briefing screen but all the turns have a brief.  probably will need some tweeking but if anyone wants to help me test the bugger post or PM me.  Trying it with 9 turns, should equal about 15 or 16 battles.  If 1 hour turns and you accept cease fires, probably at least 10 hours of campaign.   Grin  Unless it proves to be totally wacko unbalanced......
