Frinik, I gave you a word some time ago! Of course, there will be flowering orchards where you can hide with your Panzer! And if you find the way to burn them... Me?Burn orchards???Do you take me for a war-mongering, enemy of the Soviet people amd Motherland and World Peace Fascist? Burning orchards???Now that´s an idea

Ï was wondering lajcak. What resolution do all tree/bush/ground textures have? It looks like you do have ideas on how to remake all textures so im wondering if its possible to change resolution on them twice atleast. If they are lower then 1024x1024. I know the game can handle 2048x2048 (all vehicles are using that) Difference in looks is gonna be alot better and it shouldnt effect fps at all. You think its worth to take a look at that?

Well, Donken, some of images already have resolution 2048x2048! Yet they include for example different textures for different trees together. And it means that the resolution is lower for every single object... I have changed the resolution of a few images (e.g. ground, bushes) in my mods but I have never tried to change those images such as high_grass (1024x1204) or tree images (2048x2048). But who knows!!! Might be it will work! Good luck! lajcak

frink: Its done on the texture file itself. Not in the game or for the game so to say. Just select any .png file for example and then you can see the resolution on it lajcak: oki, that was what i thought about all textures. Have you tested if the game works with 4096x4096 textures? That is probably not worth it on some textures but for ground texture maybe? Skytexture also maybe?

I only took an .png as an example. The game is using .dds as texture format. In photoshop for example, you double the resolution on the .dds file but the picture must have the same size. I know there is a tool for this in photoshop but im not shure for gimp.
What you can gain by this is double the details on the same texture when rendered in the game. Texture is alot less blurry. But lajcak can probably tell more exactly what he did. I only know the principle behind this, But i have no own experiance in doing this.

I have tried new sky textures right now. Resolution: 4096x2048. It seems to works. However, I do not know whether it makes any difference... http://imageshack.us/g/808/shot201112101742390000.jpg/
