Strange selection frames

What about the ugly blue selection rectangles since august patch? It fits to an editor but destroys the immersion.

If your refering to the blue rectangles around the tank or soldiers,you can left click your mouse button on the screen and they will turn off.

But then they are deselected and cannot receive commands.

give command 1st then left click to turn off rectangle.

Or go to your options page and the 8.01 setting and select "none" this will leave a small dot above the unit when selected for commands not the blue rectangle.

But where are the nice curves?

I don't understand.

If you mean the blue elipses that used to outline the squads.They are gone and no longer an option for this patch.

these blue elipses have been better. The marker has to follow the map coordinates and the ground. The new rectangles don't follow the directx viewport. It looks as if they have used an orthogonal matrix here. This is amateurish and should be changed immediately.

i also dont like the new selection boxes

They don't really bother me,I turn them off(left click mouse button) soon after I give the unit its new orders.

I mostly give all my orders on the 2D map and right before I go back to the 3D map I left click the mouse button and the blue rectangles don't appear when I get back on the 3D map.
