Trust me..........Its complex and not for the faint of heart.  If you have problems with the mission editor, this will KILL you.  Stats per Andrey.  They have given to 5 mod types.  4 fails.  1 success.  Krabb and myself are #6.  I expect to be working on this for 2 to 3 months.  LOTS TO DO.

Is this a map to be released in a expansion? Looks really good. I'd like to see how the ai handles such rugged terrain.

Still VARY early.  Only concerned about the land mass and road/rail routes now.  Flora is all wrong and will have to be made later as well as correct regional buildings.  And of course some new land textures.

Where is a big mountain?  Grin

Another Vary early render of mountains I just rendered DUE west of longstop hill.  Historically the British where dug in around here to prevent a flanking attack by Germans.  Obviously its just grass and a mountain now.  Theres a little town up here and of course it needs the right plants.  But I do beleave this is APOS's 1st mountain.  Cheesy

YES. LOL.  Labor of love.  Not against the idea of money to pay a bill or two.  MUHAHAHA.   Grin

I would say alot more than a mod.  Mod is a modification right? This requires a new polygon made from satelite images. ok CHECK in progress.  ANd at least the US Army to be made from square one.  Oh and all the buildings and plants.  Right now its 2 guys......a programmer....Krabb......and an artist........me.

And someone go hire Krabb......he needs a good game gig.  Send all inquires to where ever, St. Petersburg Russia.  LOL.  This is the 2nd project we have worked on together.  He knows his stuff.  Ok shameless plug for Krabb.

Current standard is 900 triangles.  Back in k43 it was closer to 500 eek!.  3 LOD levels with 1 for rig.

Well also the map/polygon is #1 focus.  The land mass is close to being done.  But still need to tweek/make new textures, a few new plants, and of course buildings and the like.
#2 is get some western allies.  In this case US army circa 42/43 and if time (and I REALLY HOPE) UK as well.  Infantry and needed support stuff like mortars and anti tank guns.
#3 is vehicles like m4a1 sherman and half track types.  But for Longstop battle area really not needed.  Apos has m3 stuart allready so that is something.
#4 is a something like P38 lightning in glorious destroyable format and same for stuka if I can manage it.  As well as anti aircraft guns for various sides.  When/IF i get to this point is when I finally finish my SU2 bomber.

If this thing works out and is popular will move along to the armored fighting in Medjez valley.  I am dying to do US mech infantry VS panzer grenadiers.  Cheesy

But starting to put my own (limited) cash into project now.  So I am obviously commited to this thing.   Grin  When I have the map further along I maybe looking for some help.  Right now not needed.  But later  Tongue

I am DYING To make US 37mm US m3 anti tank gun.  Have all the referance stuff and if those stupid maps I am waiting on do not show up soon I will dive into that one.  Cheesy
