That's fine if you want to play on a tablet.  I would just as soon stay away from Win 8 as long as possible.

The UI is definitely different and somewhat clunky when first played, but imo it works good enough.

I think Unity of Command has one of the best interfaces around, even if it is a bit simple.

But pencils on screen? Yikes. I'll pass.
