Some problem with SABoW ...

Hi folks,

I bought this week some tanks simulations, SABoW among others. I have the game (German) installed, the patch, as described here in the forum.
The game starts, I select a mission, but when I want to make a move comes the following message:

Kritischer Fehler
001: Ein Fehler ist beim Start des Programms aufgetreten

critical Error
001: An error occurred while starting the program

and I am on my desktop ...

Any idea to make the game running?

PS:
Win 7 64bit
6 Gb RAM
Nvidia GT525

PPS:
Steel Fury runs with Mods without problems ...

German version has/had issues with English and or Russian patches.     Some worked out a work around but unsure what they did.  But the only difference SHOULD be the localization file.

Thanks a lot. Without patch the game works, but german game with english patch doesn't :-(
So I have to buy the english version ...

From old thread on sim hq from Andrey...

1) Rename data\loc_ger folder to data\loc_eng
2) Apply English game core update 5.77
3) Install current March 2012 update

Did you have to do that hex editing?  I am really not sure why the heck you would.  But glad it is working.

Yes, I have to use the Hex-Editing. Only renaming the folders doesn't work!
