Failteam Tactics is a parody of Graviteam Tactics game series. It features mistakes by the player, artifacts in game mechanics, AI misbehavior and some random incidents. If you don’t get it, think again. If you still don’t get it, you just haven’t played the game (enough)! Know that this game is serious business. It’s not fun, at all.

See the episodes at http://failteamtactics.blogspot.fi/.

That's awesome, I love the second one - so true! Realistic games have realistic nights you know  Cheesy

Although, I have a hard time understanding the first one about fording. Fording is cause for much hilarity, usually the AI messes everything up even trying something simple like crossing a bridge. Maybe that is the point of the first one - that this time no problem occurs? I am slow sometime   Grin

Hi there, I'm glad that I'm not the only one having fun being deadly serious with these incidents.

Although, I have a hard time understanding the first one about fording. Fording is cause for much hilarity, usually the AI messes everything up even trying something simple like crossing a bridge. Maybe that is the point of the first one - that this time no problem occurs? I am slow sometime   Grin

I love short humorous cartoons that need a little thought to be realized. Of course there's always the risk of author being on different wavelenght than you do or that the cartoon is too difficult.

In the case of episode 1 "Fording" you can see the Failteam, a mechanized platoon, attempting a river cross. Everything went as planned without problems, I assure you. Grin You can verify this by counting the number of vehicles before and after the bridge crossing.  Wink

Nowadays fording attempts in the game work much better then before, but the risk is still there. I decided to make this episode mainly because of its historical value - no hard feelings Graviteam. Smiley

I'l be uploading new episodes mostly one by one each weekend. I've got lots to rant of ideas and some of them are already finished.

Oh, by the way, the episode 2 "Night Battle" has a dual meaning. Shadrach got only the first one right.  Smiley

Ah yes, bridge crossings, the biggest fear of any mechanized force!  Cheesy

OK, to keep things under control I set up a simple blog. The episodes can now be seen at http://failteamtactics.blogspot.fi/. Note that the blog has a section "Background & Explanation", which gives a detailed description of each episode.

I'll keep you up to date on this forum, when new episodes are available.

Enjoy, hate, cry - or whatever.   Tongue

Blogger has some basic templates, which can be modified by using their tools. To be honest, it sucks. But once you get a hold of their logic, it's doable. A more preferable way would be to modify the code directly. I've got experience with html and css, but it's so long since I used them that I surrendered to use their tools. Nowadays it's anyway more practical to use templates or other design tools to build most of your website. Back in the days I was the guy holding the most powerful tool ever, THE notepad. Grin

I had a chance to take a preview of the Mius Front, which is the next incarnation of Graviteam Tactics series. One of its major new features is the simplified and more intuitive user interface. To relieve you from excitement I decided to take a screenshot of the new tactical interface for you (seen in the episode). How do you like it? I think new players will find it easier to familiarize themselves with the game and that there will be a whole new branch of players, since the game is now touchpad friendly too!

To be fair, the fuel and ammo used to destroy the truck probably cost more than the truck.

Yes, probably, though I'm not 100% sure if the game actually calculates that - haven't tested it. The situation (episode eight) happened to me during the operation and I tested it afterwards in quick battle, but I always got a draw in this case. Maybe if tanks wouldn't shoot their main gun?? Who knows!  But the result is funny. Grin
