Report is not entirely finished yet but will be soon:

http://combatace.com/topic/82870-t-34-twosome-part-2/?p=666119

First part was a T-34 mission in 'T-34 - vs - Tiger':

http://combatace.com/topic/82852-red-storm-t-34-twosome/

I forgot to disable the 'Return of Panzergrau' mod and to enable 'Scorching Summer' but I DID remember to make frinik's fire mod, which is...fiery-ier. The German attacks came in too fast for my tactical approach but we still won the battle. The SF '42 mission was more fun, even though I enjoy the gunnery and general tanking in the other sim.

Thanks to all concerned in making the mod and the mission used!

Great report ! I liked it!

I may say that I didn't manage  to have a victory in this mission. It does that current tactics is the best one!
I remember this mission Chernogostie by Deviator and how many efforts I paid to adjust it, coz mission was completely out of the NTA `Mission Pack` standards. Now I see that mission could be adjusted more better:
- replace Panther D on Panther G
- Pz IV F2 on Pz IV H

The biggest problem for me was translation.
Quote
My orders are rather short and doubtless lose something in the translation.
Suppose, translation could be improved, but I'm not good at English.

blue arrows to the right; not sure what the arrow pointing north indicates - perhaps the German's next move?

That's a small bug, the arrow should`ve have been appeared later, when German win/user fail.
What about the new fire effect? How does it look to compare with default one? Should it be included into next update?

Thanks!

Your English is pretty good (and MUCH better than my Ukranian which is nil!)

I like the new fire effect. You can see more of it in the screenshots in the last part of the mission report, which I have just finished. The only negative is that sometimes, you can see a straight, hard edge to a fireball, where it touches the flat surface of a vehicle. This is really only noticeable in a screenshot. In-game, this is not really noticeable because the fireball is changing shape quickly.

Second part of the review is definitely - masterpiece!
I'm pretty sure u deserved at least Medal of "Sickle&Hammer"  plus a couple battles of vodka from Comrade Commissar. Unfortunately, I've to confirm (again) that curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction didn't bring it back...  Grin

OK, then new effect fire will be included into next update.

PS
I think it would be good idea, if u'd include original name of the mission. In case, if somebody want to play it.

Another series of excellent and very entertaining battle reports Comrade 33lima.For the sake of your everlasting Socialist soul may I suggest changing your handle for a more Socialist one like 44leningrad or 45berlin?Huh? Grin

Those missions reports may yet earn you a Banner of Lenin order...Keep them coming as the morale of the toiling masses of our Glorious Socialist Motherland needs to be stoked in the constant fight against the Hitlerites, the Petit Bourgeois revisionists, the Titoists, the Cosmopolitans, the Zionists, the revanchists, the Imperialists...HMMMM did I forget anybody Roll Eyes

Jokes aside T34 versus Tiger was a great sim but so imperfectly finished; buggy, heavy on the pc, the AI is plain awful and the scripting is lame.... Even MP wise which was what it was intended to be the game would crash every 10 minutes or so. No wonder it has been virtually abandoned saved for SP with Zeewolf's mods. But the modelling is great , the immersion not bad and the maps are really large and interesting. But their size alone explains why it's so hard on the cpu. I still have the game but haven't played in 3 years.

Lol!

You forgot 'Counter-revolutionaries' Frinik; such an obvious omission for any card-holding Party Member, that I'm beginning to suspect that you may be a bourgeois agent provocatuer. Never fear, though, I believe the weather in Siberia can be quite pleasant at this time of year  Grin Grin Grin

Excellent work with these battle reports.  Smiley

And have to say that, as with Steel Fury, T-34 vs Tiger has also improved with age and has lost the bugs of the early released game version. Items that have been updated and improved with TvT are the Panther tank addition to the playable units and such mods as, resupply of ammo during battle, winter weather, new ground items and a wingman that does stay and fight along side of you [although you can not give it commands].

Again great work on these reports and thank's.

Not all Comrade 45berlin( ex 33 lima) in fact it was a clever move on my part to deliberately forget a very common anti socialist behavior to see if you would pick it up!!!You passed the test with flying colours Comrade 45 berlin...The enemies of the people never sleep and it's our duty to lay traps to catch them! 8)

True enough Woofiedog but it's not for free and progress is at snailpace. It took Zeewolf 3 years to cough up a new tank ,the Panther Ausf D. During those 3 years Modders contributed at least 50 to 60 new armoured vehicles for free! Likewise with the missions, new weather mods, improvement to the gameplay, new maps, new sounds, new effects, new campaigns...No comparison!

Your absolutely correct with the amazing amount of work and quality of the work done by the SF community members for free. Steel Fury has really grown into a first class tank sim that can not have been done without the very creative skills of the community here.

And again great work 33lima, really enjoy reading and seeing the work done with your missions.

An interesting and fun to read review, as always,

I found that the mission was a lot harder when playing the German side, all their units were scripted to run into a deathtrap,  Shocked
