Hi,

Since this recent Steam update, .. my GTOS is a bit messed up. Working fine prior to the update.

Game settings are identical to SABOW, .. which works perfectly.

Pic says it all ..

Cheers

Hmm... very strange. Try verifying steam cache.

Hi Krabb,

Tried that already, ..  Smiley ..  a few times.

It says that 13 files failed to validate, .. and downloads 2.2 Mb.

I only have GTOS, .. Operation Hooper, .. and the High Res pack installed.

So, .. when I click Play, .. the Program goes thru the process of:- i.e. save and play

1. Installing the patch .. 4.25
2. Installing Operation Hooper
3. The High Res pack.

Once I've done that, .. and now, from the Main Menu, .. I immediately exit.

If I verify the cache again, .. it results in the same '13 files failed to validate', .. and the 2.2 Mb download ..  Huh?

.. and so it goes.

Attempting to play the game, .. results in screens like the one above.  Sad

Cheers
Tom

What are your hardware specs and OS?

Edit: Could you try this patch: gtos_steam_upd_eng.b.gt2extension? It's for testing only, so don't share it, please.

Hi Krabb,

You da man ...  Grin

That new patch solved the problem.  Grin

Something I find interesting about the 'Verify Integrity .. ' of GTOS.

After a verification, .. and all the 'Save and Play' stuff, .. once the game has started, .. if you just exit out of the game ..

.. and you do another 'Verify Integrity .. ', .. it replaces the 13 files again. (as per my earlier post).  Huh?

Why is that ? .. surely everything should be ok from the first verify?

Also, .. after installing the June15b patch, .. if I then 'Verify Integrity .. ', .. it replaces 17 files.  Huh?

Well, .. actually 18, if I don't put the June15a patch back first ..  Smiley

.. so, are there 3 additional/different files in the June15b patch?

Anyhoo, .. it's all working fine now, .. well, .. as long as I don't verify ..  Wink

BTW, .. once I got it working ok, .. I re-installed the June15a patch to check if the graphics problem would re-occur, .. and it did.

.. I was just confirming that my problem was definitely with the June15a patch.  Smiley

Thanks for your assistance, .. it is most appreciated.  Smiley

Cheers
Tom

EDIT: I saw that someone over on the Steam forum was having similar problems, with an AMD Graphics card.

I am using a Nvidia GTX 780, running at 2560x1440 resolution .. using the 353.06 drivers.

Thanks for testing!

Regarding files replaced, this is because of the patch installed (and Graviteam updating system), it updates (replaces) some of the "original" files.
