Unit formations

I've noticed that when moving a combined Marder/infantry platoon as a group the Marder always ends up on the left hand side of the formation.  Is there any way that I can get it to travel behind the infantry and in the centre so its flanks are protected?  I have also found that when moving a mixed formation of Tigers and other german AFV's that if the tanks in front option is selected the Tigers will travel behind the other vehicles at the back of the formation; I would have though you would want the most heavily armoured/armed AFV's at the front of the formation such as in the panzerkeil wedge.  Is it possible to get them to travel in front of the medium tanks?
