I was sitting hidden with my TDs for 15 minutes.  All of a sudden, they got very quiet.  Did they shut their engines to conserve fuel?  (I know that they didn't run out of fuel as I still show 89%.)

And making a racket with a loud engine noise allows infantry to hear the vehicle when close.
