BRING BACK MARKERS

« on: March 24, 2016, 03:35:24 PM »

This is more of a tactical question, asking people what they do.

I had a battle in which I had 2 platoons of infantry with no dedicated anti-tank weapons.  I was defending and after place the troops in defensive positions I started the battle.  Soon I heard armor and observed 4 T-34s and 1 KV-1 accompanied by infantry.

I did not have entrenchments, the troops were just in cover of vegetation.
What is the best way to retreat from a battle like this?  How do you withdraw from a tactical battle and give up territory to save the men, or is that possible?  I didn't wish to stay and be destroyed piecemeal.

Sometimes, enemy does the mistake of separating tanks from infantery. In this situation, you can attack infantery before the tanks come.
Another option: run and conquer new territory and wait a possible cease fire offer from enemy.
Otherwise, withdraw! It's better to fight in a balanced combat, before a counter-attack.
