I learned earlier this week that you really must use key bindings for control in this game.  Just the UI & mouse are not enough.

Given the difficulty in remembering what 10 key bindings are set to, I just created a utility.  It does the following:

* Binds groups to key while assigning any text you want.  (you really don't need the key number)

* Recalls groups based on their text description.

* Maintains bindings across gaming sessions by using an INI file.

* Allows for complete reset of bindings.

PS:  @Devs, please note that I did not hack or patch your code.  This runs as a co-resident utility that makes no changes; it is not a mod.

BTW, this utility also works for the CMx2 games, and I believe it would work for TW games as well.

Are these bindings for selecting groups of units, individual units?

Groups of units.

It does the CTRL-# key, and # key for you.  The main thing that it achieves is naming a bind with a meaningful name at creation so that you can easily recall it during the battle.

Either that or you must have a good memory, or always follow the same convention for every battle.

Of course, you can have just a group of one, like an FO.
