I really enjoyed playing APK43. I'm looking forward to Operation Star.
Will Operation Star be available through Steam or GamersGate?
Personally, I prefer the "old fashioned" marketing method through a distributor (NOT PARADOX) like Battlefront, Matrix, or HPS, where you can get a physical CD and be part of an active forum to discuss the game as opposed to the current developer feedback which is nonexistent.

I realize that English is not Graviteam's primary language, but the lack of any information regarding content included with Operation Star is disturbing. Will we have campaign editors in addition to the tactical editor? Will we be able to modify individual units? Is the February release still on time? Graviteam's lack of communication with their English speaking customers could be mitigated by their association with a publisher that already has an active and involved forum of dedicated users. If Battlefront releases their new Combat Mission and Matrix releases PC-O in February, I fear that a release of Operation Star will not even be noticed.

From what Susana has stated over on the Paradox forums, Operation Star is not to be published via Paradox which probably means GamersGate as well.
This is tragic Graviteam! This game is nearly a year old for us English customers and is longer for you Russian guys. The game is *good*, and we eagerly await news of its release. Either a yes or a no if its going to be localised. Thanks.

Graviteam has mentioned that they intend to sell the product direct themselves, from their website. Therefore, any worries that it is not being published by any other publisher, or released on Gamersgate, is somewhat premature, especially as Vlad only said maybe a February release. Maybe is not the same as definately, so we just need to be a little patient. Also, when all is said and done, there is not a terrific amount of localization to do - the game is short on text, and English sounds are not needed - so I cannot see that being a show stopping issue, especially as they have done it before, and Vlad's English is actually pretty good.

Dear Graviteam: You are very talented and make great games. Your English speaking customer communication however is HORRIBLE. Some further information would be appreciated. Please make in soon because if you release operation star after Battlefront releases CM-Normandy and Matrix releases Panzer Command Ost Front, your game may not even be noticed.

If you are from the West like me, its time to say last rights over this one (meaning OpStar). Publisher of the last game denies any involvement. Nothing from the developers other that a guttural 4 or 5 word response every 6 months and I doubt it's because they are working 18 hour days readying it for release. I bought both games that have been released in the West and think they are special but particularly one can see the potential to be awesome. These Russians are highly talented programmers of game code (check out DCS) but they don't know squat about getting their product to the end buyer. Out.

I imagine if Graviteam had some information regarding Operation Star or any other products they would announce it. However, their complete lack of communication shows an appalling lack of respect for their customer base. That "aint no way to make friends and influence people" folks.
