Gentlemen!

Time to get your new Steel Fury campaign! 10 action-packed sequential missions, full of sound and fury in your Panzer III (and IV)!

It's available now at all reputable outlets (here is one):
http://www.4shared.com/file/gEekmKR6/KythCampaign.html

As usual, there's something you need to add, an extra line to the 'camp_list.engcfg' file:

camp\KY_camp.engcfg, werm_5, txt_cm_camp_werm_5, true, img_user3;

Get it and have a blast!

Installation:

  • The quickest way to install the Campaign is using 'JSGME' (Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler), same as the installation of the Steel Panzer mod.
  • The campaign is contained in the downloaded file, 'KythCampaign.rar'. Extract the 'KythCampaign.rar' file to the 'MODS' folder. (I use WinRAR to do this)
  • The new 'mod' should show up in the 'available mods', and can be activated:

  • Add in an extra line to the 'camp_list.engcfg' file, for example:

Quote
camp_list()
{
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, teach, txt_cm_camp_teach, false, img_t34;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, single, txt_cm_camp_single, false, img_single;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_1, txt_cm_camp_rkka_1, true,  img_t34;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_2, txt_cm_camp_rkka_2, true,  img_mk2;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_8, txt_cm_camp_rkka_8, true,  img_teach;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_4, txt_cm_camp_rkka_4, true,  img_user9;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_3, txt_cm_camp_rkka_3, true,  img_user2;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_t60, txt_cm_camp_rkka_t60, true, ,;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_5, txt_cm_camp_rkka_5, true, ,;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_6, txt_cm_camp_rkka_6, true, ,;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_7, txt_cm_camp_rkka_7, true, ,;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, rkka_trophy, txt_cm_camp_rkka_trophy, false, ,;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, werm_1, txt_cm_camp_werm_1, true,  img_pz4;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, werm_2, txt_cm_camp_werm_2, true,  img_user10;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, werm_3, txt_cm_camp_werm_3, true,  img_user1;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, werm_4, txt_cm_camp_werm_4, true,  img_user11;
   camp\KY_camp.engcfg, werm_5, txt_cm_camp_werm_5, true, img_user3;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, werm_new, txt_cm_camp_werm_new, true,  img_user8;
   camp\main_camp.engcfg, werm_stug, txt_cm_camp_werm_stug, true, ,;
}

  • You can find the 'camp_list.engcfg' file here:

  • If you've installed it correctly, the new campaign should now appear in the Campaign / Mission select screen:

And that's it! Good Luck, you will need it!

Kyth
 Sorry if this is a dumb question but am I correct in assuming that this campaign make your 10 single missions redundant? Can I delete the 10 missions and install the campaign or are they two seperate versions.

No, the single-missions aren't redundant, if you want to replay a particular mission, out of sequence. They're stand-alone.

The new campaign is played mission by mission in a set sequence, like the stock campaigns. I've also given the missions a slight fine-tuning because of this.

which you are going to make? Wink

i made countless missions for IL-2
I made skins and cockpìt textures for "first eagles" (a WW1 sim):

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/2597/1skins.jpg

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/9359/2skins.jpg

and i made several enhancements for others games

But i don't understand the mission editor or the editor manual :-(
The video tutorial of fabianfred is too blurry and incomplete to see anything :-(

So i hope somebody makes a proper video tutorial for the editor (Kyth???)

The Fabianfred videos are high-res and a lot clearer when they're played full-screen.

Just need to turn up the volume on the first few "episodes".

I started out with those, so I guess they're effective  Grin

Frinik
 I've been watching the various posts regarding mission building and the different tutorials out there. Could I impose on you to CC me the friedrich Wilhelm tutorials also...that is if/when you find them. I use to mod the crap out of SHIII and make my own missions so I know how involved it can get. At some point I'd like to try it with SF.

Cheers

The Fabianfred tutorials are also quite useful, you just have to ignore all the wheezing and background noises  Smiley

  I agree Kyth but FW's was really step-by-step images and explanations and in pdf format so more user-friendly in my opinion.

  Kyth or should I say Meister Kyth? I played again you mission 10  and I can say without ambiguity whatsoever that it is the best night mission I have ever played! You kept me driving back and forth from A to C , grumbling all the way Grin! A lot of work and care went into that nocturnal exercice.The result is compelling! Damned tough to fight when the only source of light are burning tanks Grin

Regretfully, I was killed by an immobilised T 34 , well concealed by 2 of his burning companions, who killed me from 377 metres behind....Totally unchivalrous if you want my opinion ;)I managed a not too bad score of 5 tanks and 4 trucks and one Panzer II ( friendly fire you know Roll Eyes and 64 infantry.

Bravo Meister Kyth; finesse and action a rare combo Smiley

  Oh the infantry was no problem; nothing repeated poundings with HE and Mgs could not deal with. ;DIt's the pitch black which makes shooting tricky as you have to take time to identify foe from friend before firing.
