Or is it cold war? Videos seem to indicate afghanistan and africa.

Looks spectacular. I am just curious as to where its set and if I will see elephants Wink

Also I have played steel beasts pro PE - will it be as detailed?

The African campaign is set in 1987, so yes, good old Cold War instead of the "modern day warfare" craze.

Afganistan - 1985 (Soviet army)
Iran - 1981 (Iran or Iraq army)

You will see Elephants in the Angolan campaign....

Because the South African Defence Force (SADF) tanks were known as Elephants (Olifant)
