Wanted to pull a post from SimHq. The Post was started by Rends concerning the all the multiple sim postings (SFK42/AP/AP Star/SABoW) in the general Graviteams subforum and the confusion it's starting and a solution offered by Rends, check out this reply by andrey12345:

"Probably best to do some sub branches for each game your own?

Add to Rends list our inner prefixes:
K42 - Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942
K43T - Achtung Panzer series (wargame)
MTC80 - Steel Armor series (tank simulator/combat)

and reserve for future H39T, did you guess what it will be"

Here'a a link to the post:
 http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3484810/This_forum_is_very_confusing_P.html#Post3484810

Care to speculate what H39T will be?

Anyway I think a Khalkin-Gol wargame would be a wonderful thing. The idea of little Type 95's and Type 89's scooting around  Grin

I can't really think of any other sim or strategy game that features Japanese tanks (not even Panzer Front, a Japanese game).
You'd have to go way, way back to Steel Panthers (a turn-based wargame).

Is there a market for such a location based tank sim?
I´m pretty sure that most never heard of this location.
Wonder how this Iran-Iraq,Angola based tank sim is selling ?

Does it refers to the Soviet-Japanese confrontation in which the Japanese took a drubbing and decided wisely to sign a non-agression pact with the SU?

Yes Kyth there is WWII mod on Battlefield 2 which allows to play a couple of Japanese tanks the type 95 and another one on the Wake island map.I think also Battlefield 1943 contains Japanese tanks.

I think it'll be a Battles of Khalkhin Gol. There were some rumors about this setting a long time ago on the sukhoi forum.

Are we talking about a sim or an RTS?I suspect an RTS cause sim-wise I don't think there would be much meat. Re the interest don't forget Graviteam is Ukkrainina-Russian so they are close to their roots and will make games for their domestic market primarily.Like Western game makers making games about Korea or Vietnam which would cater to their own audiences rather than to a wider market.Let's not judge until we have seen what they come up with.

*IF* the mystery title refers to Khalkin-Gol....

Do you think you guys will *really* enjoy trundling around in lightly armored Japanese Type 95s? The main gun is what, 37mm, the turret's half open (with a MG hanging out the back) and the armors really thin. Any AT gun (even something like a Boys recoilless rifle) will punch holes in it.

Well, it would be a challenge, I suppose.... Smiley

Yeah I agree not a terribly exciting prospect. In my view the Finnish-Soviet war would have been a more interesting subject for a war game....
