Hi,

since the september patch (i belive), the grass appear only at near zoom on the ground in squaredt areas, in small range around the camera position.
Not sure whether was before. But on the green backround it stand out.

In options decrease textures quality for vegetation is disabled.

Is this a intention to increase performence, maybe?

regards

Could you make screenshots of the problem, please. Try increasing the 2.25 setting.

What about 2.25 on high, the bug is still there?

Set 2.25 on High for now. Ultra is an experimental feature and will be looked later.

I am having the same issue....the DRAW distance is very short and takes away from the ambiance of the game...

Is this a hardware limitation or should the Grass setting be on medium or something...?

Hopefully will have a new PC b4 Xmas so it should be able to run this game and push a truck up a hill at the same time  Grin

I have 2.25 set to Ultra and the grass seems to load in square blocks as you move across the battlefield. It means that some areas are filled with grass while other square areas are empty. Same thing happens if I set 2.25 to High.

This screen shows the grass pretty well filled in:

But if I shift the view to the right, I get the following. Don't know if this is a design feature or a bug, but it's not a big deal to me personally.

I only just started the first engagement of the Shilovo DLC and it was all foggy and my FPS went down to a stutter...!  Have not had this happen with APOS before.

Is it due to the large amount of units on the map? (although I have yet to make contact with the enemy yet).

I am still using my old Quad Core until I get the new rig later this year.

I'm using a Core 2 quad 2.5 and my FPS with Shilovo is  5-6 FPS at time unplayable Sad, no new rig in sight for the foreseeable future so will have to hope for an improvement.

Cheers

I had to put battle radius to limited..which is about the same size as moderate in previous DLC..helped a fair bit.

It's the first time I've had to reduce graphic settings.

Well is the issue some element of graphic detail?   IE... models and textures..  Perhaps a shader that is borking some up?

OR is it the increased numbers of AI.

BOTH will cause your fps to tank.   With this last DLC the squad numbers in a unit is 2 or even 3x the size than other campaigns.  PLus just a heck of a lot of 3 and 4 squares on the operational map.

I have the same problem with rendering of grass.

The performance of the game is good so far for me (intel i-5 2500k 3.3 Ghz, 4 cores). I can have maximum sized battles in Quick Battles with ~30 fps. Note that I don't own Shilovo (yet), but if things are as said, I think Graviteam needs to make some optimizations. If just possible. The game should run smoothly by average modern computers even in bigger battles.
