Title: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Aces on June 13, 2013, 06:39:28 PM Hi chaps,
I've just downloaded this https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=QfmPVEj8urArERSSEj5r4LSUhPg228hHPJBxzsjnaFA%3D (https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=QfmPVEj8urArERSSEj5r4LSUhPg228hHPJBxzsjnaFA%3D) as it is dated 10th June, maybe Nightpostman has released his uniform mod and it's compat with march 13 c4. ;D ;D Been eagerly awaiting this, off to try it out. Cheers Aces Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Aces on June 13, 2013, 07:08:27 PM Absolutely superb!!!!, excellent work Nightpostman!!
Cheers Aces Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Dane49 on June 14, 2013, 02:49:29 AM Nightpostman's uniform mod is very good.
I wish his work was incorporated into the game as standard. He seems to be the only one who knows what a German helmet looks like. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Flashburn on June 14, 2013, 05:20:18 AM 1.1 gig!? really? Did he double the texture sizes? Modern puter would have little issues with that BUT min system specs would go up. Or did he just redo EVERYTHING. Oh or used the dx5 compression on all textures. That would do it fast. Ya and his stuff is pretty cool indeed.

I get a black screen right after mission finishes to load.
Update: Winter scenarios are working. Fall Blau does not. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Dane49 on June 16, 2013, 01:46:19 AM It's designed for the newest patch,
But I don't think it works with the campaigns, especially ones already in progress. I think the mod is to be used for Quick Battles but I have been able to use it for small campaigns. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Lemonade on June 16, 2013, 02:39:37 AM Other (winter) campaigns and quick battles work just fine with the mod. It's just the summer map that won't work for me. It crashes GTOS.
Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Aces on June 16, 2013, 10:37:44 AM Hi chaps,
I fired up an ongoing campaign on the summer map using Nighpostman's mod and everything seemed to work just fine: (http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4372/idpz.jpg) My config in case it helps: (http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/7039/cy9y.png) Cheers Aces Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Lemonade on June 16, 2013, 01:50:09 PM Thanks, Aces.
My list differs a lot from yours: Code: 1. Skins Mod Ostfront Kharkov 0.02 Maybe that's what causing me problems? Also, was there an update to high-res pack in the last few weeks? (1.00 -> 1.01) :o Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Tanker on June 16, 2013, 03:13:42 PM Here's where I get the patches. It always is the latest I believe.

The Hi Res texture pack I have is gtos_hir_tex_01_mar13.gt2extension & had more units than the original release, shows v1.01 for me. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Lemonade on June 16, 2013, 07:10:23 PM The file name from the link is gtos_cu_581c1_eng.exe. What I have downloaded and installed several weeks ago is also gtos_cu_581c1_eng.exe. Could it be that two different updates are named the same?
Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Rod on June 16, 2013, 11:37:05 PM I have had no problems with Nightpostmans mod. It installed clean and (touch wood) no error messages whatsoever.

Skins Mod Ostfront Kharkov 0.02 Maybe that's what causing me problems? Also, was there an update to high-res pack in the last few weeks? (1.00 -> 1.01) :o My list is even worse :P and I just updated it (for the 3rd time according to my downloads folder) via the link provided in this thread. My "Game update" is at 4.05 but Hooper and the high-res pack are still at 1.00. All the others seem to be on the right version but how can I update those two? Re-download from Gamersgate?.. To stay on topic - Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I am keen to try out this mod and am downloading now, however I'd like to get the game up to date too.. Additionally, where do we get the "blood mod"? Now I've got a good excuse to jump back into Op. Hooper! Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: jaggy on August 19, 2013, 02:18:14 PM Additionally, where do we get the "blood mod"? For Blood Mod, link below: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3116342 Its also on the Graviteam Forum somewhere but even using their Search, I can't find it. Blood mod from Graviteam forum or Matrix Games are one and the same though. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: chashka17 on August 19, 2013, 06:17:28 PM A quick FYI -
Andrey posted a group of mod links here - http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3491104/Re_APOS_VAPOSM_sound_mod#Post3491104 (http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3491104/Re_APOS_VAPOSM_sound_mod#Post3491104) My rough translation of the Bloodmod v1.00 RU readme by Edelveys - Quote Blood Mod v1.00 for Kharkov 1943 Achtung Panzer Operation Star "The mod replaces the standard blood on the dead with more realistic blood" Installing the mod: 1) Extract the archive with the mod. 2a) In the main menu of the game, click the version number of the game in the top right corner of the screen. 2b) In the window that appears, click on the "Install" button and select the file in the folder where desc.addpack unpacked mod. 3) Move the other mods to the top of the list of mods. 4) Click "Save and play." In the list of mods - Blood Mod v1.00 has to be at the end of the list The hi-res texture pack is currently v1.04 (& needs to be at the top of the Updater install list) Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: jaggy on August 24, 2013, 02:40:54 AM Thanks chashka, appreciate the links.

First of all interesting Mosin and mauser 98 carbines http://desertoasispartners.com/m38-mosin&page=2 http://desertoasispartners.com/m38-mosin&page=3 P.S. I think Nightpostman and FG_AGA could combine they works in this aspect... Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Aces on January 11, 2014, 06:46:56 PM Okay Fritz,
I have German, MG-42, GW-43, STG-44, Flare Pistol. HHL-3. 7xM-24 bundle, Jerry Can, MG34/43 ammo belt, MG-24/42 Ammo can and TornFU2 Radio and Battery Case and maybe a few others. I can convert from MAX to .x .mesh or whatever is required if he can let me know, I also have textures but Nightpostman is free to produce his own if he wishes. Infantry use the new uniform, but the markings of the vehicles disappear. (http://s14.directupload.net/images/140115/r7pex7ji.jpg) (http://www.directupload.net) Game should be up to date, or? Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Flashburn on January 15, 2014, 09:18:55 PM I'm down with making a rifle or 2.
Just say what he needs. And give me a few days. :P OH portfolio time. LOL. this mornings work. Mid poly stuff. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/545/ao1d.jpg Last weeks work.... And like ACE said... textures as well or only mesh? In game format of go2? You know all those pesky details. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/43/c1g6.jpg Just say what is needed. Probably only have time for 1. My plate is damned full right now with projects. OOPS. But what is the triangle count? I am guessing for rifle 1000 seems to be the new GTOS standard. The old ones are like 500 and hmmm....well they are guns. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Tanker on January 16, 2014, 01:56:09 AM I'm probably the rain on your parade when I ask this question. But does anyone playing this game as a tank crew member actually pay much attention to the finer details of the infantry? I know I don't examine the authenticity of the kit or the weapons that they carry. When I encounter them, they are figures to be blasted to eternity and I don't pay much more attention to their appearance.
I'm not having a go at all the obviously loving work that's put into these things, but I am curious as to the motivation. Is it for the enjoyment of creating a uniform or weapon mod? Tanks play a very small role in my Quick Battles. I'm mainly an infantry vs infantry player myself. I think a lot of the combat on the east front featured more infantry vs infantry than most people realize. Outside of the Winter and Summer seasons most vehicles and tanks were battling and mired in the mud and the infantry were expected and tasked to shoulder the majority of the combat. Tanks are cool and some of the largest tank battles were fought in this theatre, but I prefer to play the infantry battles.Mainly to reflect some of the more mundane every day type combat that usually took place between major operations which usually didn't include many tanks or much historical attention either. night_postman's want do a good quality models, better than now present in game, so he saw models from SF and want try some thing better quality. As I told before first of all he want mosin carbine, but also he need all what present in game and what should be present in that time. P.S. Sorry for long time answer. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Aces on January 16, 2014, 02:53:49 PM Thanks, I read his reply on Sukhoi forum.

Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Aces on January 17, 2014, 10:14:37 AM Hi all,
I did these 3d models and textures for a mod for Steel Fury. I offered them as I thought there might be a few things of interest such as the flare pistol, gw-43 etc.. Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: FB_AGA on July 10, 2014, 01:51:00 PM As I remember he was not going to do it, because dec13 & may14 are similar in this aspect.
Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: Dane49 on July 10, 2014, 04:19:14 PM I have the May14 patch installed and the uniform mod works fine with the new patch.

Title: Re: Nightpostman's uniform mod Post by: wodin on July 11, 2014, 12:15:33 AM I too am mainly an Inf vs Inf with just a small selection of support vehicles type of lad. Not keen on mainly Tank vs Tank. Also not keen when Tanks become the invincible super unit against Infantry.
