But why not treat Steel Armor like graviteam tactics? Have a base game then release tank,map and scenario addons to help boost replay ability and variety couple that with a arma like editor and you'll have something that imo might generate enough interest to make a good profit off of.

It is nor tanksim neither tactics.
Both of the currently living tanksims SA and SB, this is more tactic than tanks. So historically, tactics are an integral part of any actions of the tank forces. But of course fans of tank-shooters do not understand this

Graviteam is small company, lack of resources to actively support more than ~1.5 games. Tank simulator objectively have fewer players. And it is not yet clear that this situation has somehow been corrected.

Graviteam do not have a marketing department. In Graviteam 4 people work, including chiefs.

These are empty words. If the community can, then why does not make mods for this game? This is called a community can not. So then it wants help from Graviteam. Then you had the T-34 mod and what about the playable BMP mod someone made I played with it for a little while but lost the files when switching pc. For a community to make mods there needs to be some help from devs to help people get started. Look at Arma for example, yes they have multiple studios and many employees but if it wasn't for the modding scene then that game would have been dead by now and the devs know it that's why the have an entire wiki full of commands and functions everything some one needs to make a mod or a script. All it takes is one guy from you're team to start a wiki like that and add one or two entries a day.
