been away for a few years...fortunately still had a copy of my install folder on a Hard drive.
my Mods folder contains this lot...probably well out-of-date by now.
Campaigns_Mod_v08r4 Copy of Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng Free Camera Mod (Eng) Muddy & Dusty Texture Mod (Part 1) Playable Panzer II, III & StuG v0.2 Steel_Panzer_Mod_2.0_fix_V2 Steel_Panzer_Mod_v1.2_eng Steel_Panzer_Mod_v1.3_eng Steel_Panzer_Mod_v1.4_eng Steel_Sound_Mod_v1.1(fix)_eng Tiger_Mod_v0.98 Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng
to get back to a clean install do i just uninstall them using the JSGME?
What do I need to get up to date now?

I am able to run the sim OK from the game folder I saved before....but because it isn't installed on my computer I have no access to the menus for unpacking and editing.
What are my options here...do i need to buy and re-install?

Hi, Welcome back! To get the game up to date, quoted here are the main things: Quite correct sequence of setting. Anything else can be added in after that. Campaigns_Mod_v08r4 Copy of Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng Free Camera Mod (Eng) Muddy & Dusty Texture Mod (Part 1) Playable Panzer II, III & StuG v0.2 Steel_Panzer_Mod_2.0_fix_V2 Steel_Panzer_Mod_v1.2_eng Steel_Panzer_Mod_v1.3_eng Steel_Panzer_Mod_v1.4_eng Steel_Sound_Mod_v1.1(fix)_eng Tiger_Mod_v0.98 Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng
Other than the highlighted items, the rest have been superseded,

Sadly, that forum has been down these past few days,
You could make do with 'SPM 2.0 fix v.2 (eng)', at least until until it's up again.

Some things are a matter of choice. Not sure if that explains anything, but there's an alternative to the SPM 2 route, as outlined in one of the stickies: http://graviteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=10944.0

Hi Fabianfred! Good to see you back! . Your name brings back good memories. I still remember your video tutorials missions( that was back in 2009) which were very helpful for newcomers to SF. They are still posted on tanksim.org.ru. My grain of salt. SPM 2.0 is a great mod and so is the Beta Ultimate 1.5.Basically they are competing mods which both offer new models and new missions and new features. Do like me I have various installations of SF which have the various versions of Steel Panzer mod 1.5 that is NTA1.3 and 1.4 (2011) created by Lockie ( in collaboration with others) as well as the Ultimate 1.5(2012) which has different versions, the latest being the November 2012 version. Finally the Steel Panzer Mod 2.0 which brought a few new models and changes and was released in December 2012.

Normally it's supposed to work with the Ultimate 1.5 mod only but I have it installed with the Steel panzer Mod 2.0 and most missions work with that mod as well. The problem you might encounter is that some missions won't work because the map is not included in your installation. I have all the existing maps installed in SF ( 73 by my last count).Still some missions may crash in SP 2.0 because of changes made in the common res and common unit folders between Ultimate and SP 2.0.
Just looking at the mIsison Editor with either mod you'll realize how much SF has changed in the last 4 years and what a very comprehensive SIM it has become.
