Update: January 2012

1. Install
------------------------------------

0) Cancel all operations
1) Unpack patch to c:\temp\sabow_jan_2012
2) Install core update 5.77 -> gte2_core_update_v577.exe (select root game folder)
3) Select (or use update.cmd) patch description in temp folder in core directory
4) Wait...
5) After install click Save & Play button


!Create new profile after install

ALL UPDATES ARE CUMULATIVE! Were, are and will be in future.

2. CHANGE LOG

--- Update January 2012 beta 4 ---
1) Fixed bug with disappearing cursor after savegame is loading.
2) Fixed bug with disappearing sprites in the devices interface after savegame is loading.
3) User controlled tank ids have been translated into three-digit system: coy, plat, tank.
4) The current player tank highlighted in green on the map.
5) Fixed some achievements.
6) Adjusted operation in Afghanistan: increased duration to 10 turns, changed Mudj key point.
7) Fixed a bug with the volume control groups.
8) Fixed a bug with the zoom control on the map by the mouse wheel.
9) Fixed a bug with the CTD thought user movement between the tanks.
10) When a new operation created in the editor - added a fully working project template.

--- Update January 2012 beta 3 ---
1) Fixed an issue with excessive blocking of the driver and loader hatches if commander turret turned to side (in M60A1).
2) Fixed an issue with tactical battles taking place in the absence of an one side.
3) Fixed flickering on a loader hatch (M60A1).
4) Added control of external camera by the mouse while holding the middle button.
5) Added setting to off the acceleration of an external camera.
6) Turn off the interface is made three-point: enabled, enabled if Ctrl is hold, disabled.
7) Added crew voices (in Russian).
8) Fixed armor-penetration for KPVT HMG.
9) Added sensitivity adjustment control of the mouse and inversion of the Y-axis in the sight.
10) Added sensitivity adjustment for camera speed and rotation.
12) Improved Oliphant Mk1a tank: added green skin, changed suspension, added a IR-spotlight, whole model is adjusted.

--- Update January 2012 beta 2 ---

1) By default, the allies under the command of AI.
2) If the interface continues to run hot keys.
3) Minor changes associated with transitions between menus.
4) Night sights are available earlier in time.
5) Fix a bug with the fall of the transplant between the crew of the tank.
6) Completely changed the operational phase, and all operations.
7) Changed the editor operations.
8) Fixed bug with disappearing text in the main menu.
9) All changes from tactical wargame.

I know its not on list, but is the m85 on the m60 still super under powered?  Ie, can you kill a brdm or btr with it?

Nope still a bb gun with low rof.  It might have it's stats messed up with the spotting rifle on the M40 recoiless rifle.

Beta 4 and desert textures for iran (probably more) do not show.  This is both via editor and quick battles.  It does show in encyclopedia?Huh??

Desert textures (for marker 'des') for Iran not present in game and in encyclopedia (not in release, not in beta 4 and not in plans).

Desert textures present only for Olifant (after beta4) and for T-62 from release.

Hinds are indestructable!  2 hits with HE and who knows how many 7.62 and 12.7 rounds.  The gazelles will at least fly off map when they take enough damage, not these things.

A cheiftan also got killed by 14.5mm too side?  Undecided  Well maybe somehow got engine?

Had been using it quick battles.

It's not a desert texture  Tongue - it's a mud texture (present in release in beta and in future) - ingame terms it have a 'pat1' id.

Yes, you leave the aircraft at rest  Cheesy. Aviation now does not killed. Treat it like the weather - the rain, hiding under a tree or bush. Somehow as the arms reach - we will do so that you can shoot down  Grin.

Thats a mud texture  Grin.  Fooled me.  Oh do see pat1 on the screen now.  Well I thought the hind would work like the south african chopper, takes damage flies off.  Suprised to say the least.  Does the hind ever use its s-5 rockets?  Only seen it shred stuff with its 12.7 yak.

Helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft aren't showing up in the encyclopedia. Is this a bug or intentional?

They are large in size and not intermeddle normally in the encyclopedia. Therefore, they are not.
