Can anyone tell me what the settings in the soils mean in common_res?

grass,0x5D6733,0x00ff0000,0x00c03020,black,1.1,0.002,1,0.95,0.2,0.1,0.1,1,1,0.8,0.9,0.6,0.9;

What I'm looking for is movement penalties for the different terrains

Thanks  Smiley

 Can't say what they refer to but I can say that there's already a movement penalty incorporated in the game.For example your tank/vehicle moves much slower on soggy soil than on dry one and is penalised by the rugged, soft uneven ground or sluggish on sandy soil..The sloping or flatness of the terrain also impacts realistically the driving and speed at which you can drive your playable vehicle.

I think the 0.95 figure in the line refers to the slope gradient.

Your guess is as good as mine  Smiley

I assume those numbers are meaningful for the map generator,

 Yes they are relevant to both ME and tank behaviour ! I remember reading a post on the Sukhoi forum about the meaning of these numbers but of course they had to erase it! Undecided

Natalia,

I would agree with Frinik's suggestion to take a drive around the map in a suitable tank,
and note the various penalties for the terrain, taking special note of marshes, sandbanks and hill slopes  Grin
