Found this mod on the Sukhoi Russian forum for this game.
I'm guessing it is a new improved AT capability for the infantry against tanks.
Wondering what it does mostly and have only started experimenting with it after adding it to my game.

Anyone else here have any experience with this mod and noticed any improved performance for the infantry against tanks?

Did a QB with this new mod tonight and a platoon of soviet Stuarts pretty much wiped out 2 platoons of German infantry that had 1 50mm ATG in support.

I was able to knock a tread off one of the tanks but that was the only damage inflicted by the Germans on the tanks. Sad

OH I see.  They added new grenade types to the game.  Honestly half tempted to make a Panzerschreck now.   Tongue  But I honestly do not know when it made it to the battlefield.  I guess sometime in 1943.... maybe for mius?

The SS were using Panzerfausts in limited numbers during the Mius campaign in August of 43.
I think the shreck is a 44 weapon.
I'd have to look into it to be sure of the date though for the shreck.

Well the m1a1 bazooka had made its way via lend lease to the eastern front in limited numbers by this time.

Speaking of which.  Random idea that has floated around my head.  A lend lease DLC.   Tongue  Some random stuff that made its way over there in ww2.  Maybe an a20 havoc or p39 air cobra.  Churchill, m3 lee/grant, m4a2 Sherman etc etc.   Tongue Maybe a jeep.  We know that m3 scout car will make an appearance in mius.

Airplanes make a very limited appearance in this game and aren't very effective in the ground support role either with this game.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Sherman.
Jeeps would be nice if the Germans got a Kubelwagen.

I thought Alex was working on a M3 Grant/Lee?

OH try the fw190 in clear weather....

If its a soft target in the open its pretty much good as dead.  Tongue  If its not moving....

Oh and REALLY helps if air spotter has line of sight. 


Well more planes is fine by me.... if light aa guns are around as well. 

Its fun to watch the retard air battles that can now happen between things like il2 and fw190.  The fw190 will sort of try and shoot down the il2's.   Tongue

Too bad you couldn't port over some of the tank mods from Steel fury Kharkov.
They have some decent looking tank mods and lend lease stuff in that game.

But while i cross lines between sims and games like GTOS, most of k42 crew is PURE sim. 

What we REALLY need is a new ww2 tank sim.  Although I would prefer that mutant child of a tactical command sim...IN a vehicle or even a bunker.   but I am weird.


OR if mius could unlock the sim features of the engine.  WINK WINK.  Or once mius is released... unlock GTOS sim features.  That would DO!

Maybe...  Still have not figured out 100 percent the playable vehicle issues.  Most likely would require some official Gravi support.  Something they just do not have time for.  This is rightly so as of now.  Mius and then Nomagahan are bread and butter stay in business things.  Only t72 balkins on fire was a true success for a tank sim.  K42 sales where quite small alas.  And sabow.... who knows but seems even less.  3 tank sims and each had smaller sales than the previous.  Personally I think it was the changed sales model of retail shelf space to online change of bulk of sales that caused this.  For small niche products with no advertising money.  Is killer.

Russian's first contact with panzerfaust was in the autumn of 1943, with panzershreks later. As I know all this things appeared in German army in enought quantity only in the summer 44, at least on the eastern front. Large-scale use of panzerfaust against russian tanks was met only in the winter 44/45.

This version of ATinf mod presents only german AT tools for the mid of 42. It works only in QB and seems there is no english version (well, it is made but I have no idea how to make english_loc).

Actually, it's not only AT tools. Also main weapons and grenades of german ordinary infantry platoon in the summer 42.

There are some bugs, I hope few will be eliminated in full dec13 patch.

PS. This two platoons added in ATinf are dressed via Night Postman's skin mode  Tongue

PS2. A lot of grenades and ammunition are set according "First Ammo Supply". It's the full ammount which was in platoon and coy's trains. As it is impossible to supply troops while tactical phase (coy's trains were not far then 1km from forward troops, so they should be in tactical phase) it is made this way.

I looked at the thread on the Sukhoi forum but was unsure as to the order of the mod, does it go above Nightpostman's uniform mod or below it?.

Well the panzershrek SHOULD be in use in smaller numbers in 43.  The panzerpaust is most certainly a weapon that was all over the place the last years of the war.  As the former is an improved bazooka really.   And everything I have read says it popped out not to long after the first m1a1 bazookas got captured in late 42/ early 43.  But most certainly not wide spread yet in German Army till later.  Takes time to tool up and produce anything in numbers.
