Hello. I'll keep it brief.
Windows 10, beefy PC and I have the usual issues with ultra low graphics, missing grass, etc.
I'd like for someone who has the game running at max settings to upload the file in the thread title, located in [...]\Lighthouse Interactive\Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942\data\k42\loc_rus\config What resolution you run the game at is unimportant, as I will edit that with my own ( 2560x1440 ) if necessary.
I'm hoping that by using the config file of someone whose game is maxed out, I will be able to circumvent the "128mb" graphic memory issue.
I did find a couple link to ancient uploads of said file by a user called "Lockie" but they were expired and said user is no longer with us.
Assistance is appreciated.

Hello,
as far as I remember you need these options:
i_defrender:defrender() { ... no_restrict = 1; ... } ... i_mode_menu:mode_menu() { ... auto_detect = 0; } ... i_render:render() { ... windowed = 0; }
But I think the warning will stay, as it can't be disabled. After this you can max out the graphics options in the game.

Hmm, I probably mixed up "windowed" option, it should be "windowed = 1". Or just check "Use Desktop Resolution".

No changes: Additionally, I tried running the game at a lower resolution but the graphics were still low as before. Figured I'd try since I remember losing a lot of time trying to get Panzer Elite to run, only to find out it will just crash every time at very high resolutions.

That's unfortunate. The only idea I have is try setting the aspect for your resolution manually:
i_render:render() { aspect = 1.777777; }
If it still doesn't help, I'm afraid I can't help, the game is too old.

No changes as far as I can see: The age of the game is irrelevant, it's the newest and most advanced WW2 tank game. As far as I know, it literally has zero competition.

I swear, everytime I ask for help I end up doing the heavy lifting myself. So, I managed to get the grass to show up... Yeah, at the expense of everything else. How did I do this you ask, random person who found this thread using google? Why, I used a random config file as I asked in the first post of this thread, sadly it's a config file with some seriously messed up settings. Now, can I please get a proper maxed out config file or do I have to comb through all these settings and fix everything myself?

Wouldn't you know it, I think I got it! So, is this about max graphics or am I missing something still? If it is, I'll just post my config file so people that find this thread via google can just use it. And since I have foresight, I'll post it as text in a code block, not as a worthless file upload that's gonna expire. By the way, I still get the cutoff at the top of the screen, even though I installed the Widescreen fix. I have no clue what's up with that.

It probably doesnt matter if i give you my config or not! Sad thing about steel fury is that everyone pretty much need to setup their own config anyway in the end (i know to 110% my config doesnt work for you). And with all the hints and the translated config you got you need to do it yourself. So put on the boots and gloves and do the digging However, most of the problems are due to the Nvidia settings. Bad graphics = wrong nvidia settings. You need for example nvidia inspector to enable AA. Nothing you can do in the game.

It's common issue with Nvidia gpus although it is also a problem with ATI ones now. I just purchased a new ATI RX 480 4gbs for my desktop and Ima having the same issues whereas in the past ATI gpus did not have that issue. It has to do with the CUDA architecture used by Nvidia.
Try using the settings I use for my config file below( . Just adjust the res to yours: Copy them integrally and your game will look nice. In game using quality settings high(slider to the right), anisotropic slider to 5.
In the Nvidia control panel I set the quality to high for SF.
