I saw an older video of Steel Armor today showing off planes and helicopters in the game, they're AWOL in my copy.
Have they been temporally removed pending bug fixes or something?

They're in the game.  Well in the Angola bit for sure.  But they work like the arty does EXCEPT it has to be perfect weather.  Oh and they dont fly early in the morning....ie. at 7am in perfect weather.  Guess the pilots need their morning coffee.  If you hear a bunch of guys going on about lots of trucks your might be about to get strafed lol.  So far I have only used mig23 support.  In the Angola campaign there is only a very small window where you can use air power.  I REALLY want to see what the hinds can do Grin

I don't know for the campaign specifics, but they are certainly selectable in quick battle. Place down an infantry platoon and right click on it to bring up the platoon modification screen. Usually you'll find an air spotter team you can put in the platoon.

Cool, I thought they were a unit and they weren't in the encyclopedia.
