Hi mate,
I always thought that the "game update" always had to go at the bottom of the list as you look at it?!.
I don't know if the District Update is still required or not but I've left it in. I also thought the the latest DLC had to be above the previous ones in the list eg. higher UP the list as you look at it.
My confusion has always been that Andrey says the game update has to be at the top and then shows an example of it being at a the highest NUMBERED in the list which puts it at the bottom in my thinking.
Wish we had an official, definitive and up to date example of this somewhere with all the DLCs, Game update. district update and maybe optional mods shown in their correct order and an explanation of where to add/replace new content DLCs updates etc. when they come out. This game has to be the most confusing game regarding updates and new content additions that I've ever experienced. When you look at others' install order hardly any two people have them in the same order at any one time!.
Cheers

Thanks, much obliged for that, great work, I'll try that order this evening and see if it makes any difference. . One question if I may, I thought the district update changed the polygons so had to be above the DLCs?. Cheers Aces Edit, Please see this thread as nearly everyone who has posted screenshots of their install order has the games update at the bottom of their list, as have I and not near the top as you have in the wiki screenshot. I'm not saying that you are incorrect just that there's seems to be a lot of confusion regarding this. http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3185275

Well, the one on the wiki is recommended by Andrey. Generally, the patch should be above DLCs. Or in other words: everything should be ordered by its release date. Exceptions are mods and the Hi-Res Textures pack, they go above everything else. Strictly speaking, updates and DLCs are designed to mostly not require strict ordering. But there is a bug in the Prophet/Hooper DLCs, they share some configs with Zhalanashkol and should be placed under it. But release date criteria fixes this by itself. As of district update, it really doesn't matter. It updates only Taranovka and Rakitnoe maps. Nothing else touches them, even the patch.

Graviteam dudes, please update first post with the release date, link to game purchase and so on. It's really hard to figure out it's been released. Other than that, downloading now... a bit late though

Hi Andrey,
Not everyone likes or uses social networking sites, I thoroughly detest them and will not ever use Twitter, Facebook etc..

I know mate, what I'm saying is that companies shouldn't rely on them as a sole source of releasing information. When I was kid, my social network was called "outside".

I am THAT OLD , all we had were friends' gardens to kick a ball around in, no computers when I was a kid. Now folks are largely afraid to let their kids play outside, a sad state of affairs . I carried out a small test last night. I replaced the the German anti-tank rifle units to see if they were causing the error when Nightpostman's mod is activated and the error code changed so they are and there must be at least one other new unit in there. If this is a Russian unit then I cannot change it via roster whilst playing the German campaign so I'll change sides and see if I can find the Russian unit. When I have all the new units I can look at the config files.

Finished my first campaign and got it draw. Fascinating! However the last 2 turns I only got to retreat due to my German forces losing the advantage of fighting superior Russians. I gave up Trushkino and South Truskino simply because my 4 Panzer IV Aus F and 2 Panzer IIs failed to crush 1 Russian KVS 1?
I did not mind about Panzer II losing to KV 1 tank but 4 Panzer IV aus F losing to the same KV 1 tank really push me to surrendered Trushkino. Anyone understand about ARMOR and PENETRATION might want to give some hints here

Now I know why my 4 Pz IV Aus F with it's 7.5cm KwK 37 L24 gun could not beat KV-1 tank above. My goodness if I knew how to read the game encyclopedia earlier on I would have run away from meeting KV-1 tank.
Though reading the armor/penetration post a problem to me without some guide however now it gives me some little idea of what to expect. I wish I had Tiger to face KV-1 in Trushkino that time and won't be losing 6 tanks surrounding KV-1!

Use armor penetration epures (in battle or in enciclopedia) to check distance where one gun(tank) can penetrate another. Remember that part of the tanks is assault - are not designed to deal with enemy tanks. For example PzIV F or Mk2 Matilda CS. In some cases it can but not designed for it.
KV-1 in 42 is really pain for Germans (especially with reinforced armor).

Thanks andrey and it's good to know the armor can be checked in battle too which I didn't notice as yet. When playing the game my mind keep saying this would be good if one possess some kind of military knowledge just like RedMarkus. Testing one strategy against the computer. Even those who aren't military but knows and learn about the aspect of arms in WW2 would be of great help I think.
That makes me read here and there occasionally to understand and be able to play better. Realism is what attract me most in the game, the sound of battle, tanks moving in column on the road and many more...frankly I love all that.
There were times I got angry too ( that's immersive...) seeing my squad without leader running away from battle. They were lucky their general is sitting in front of PC and not there on the battlefield or else....guilotined without trial for all of them

Hey guys, Ive noticed something with this map (and i tried it with Volokonovka) the light brown coloured grass brings my PC to its knees. I normally get between 0.9-1.0 game speed, and never below 0.8. But when i drop to ground level in the brown grass (its not effected in green grass) , my game speed goes straight to 0.5 and stays there. Move to another squad, even in thick forest, and back up to 0.9. Is it my PC/Graphics card combo or major league heavy duty brown grass? By the way have no issues on winter maps at all. Does anybody else have problems? And dont just tell me to keep off the grass!!
