I have found bugs in mission 3 of Group South (KV-1):

for some unknown reason, the gun sight is not aligned with the gun.
I try to set the sight turn at 0 by pressing (O), the sight sometimes return to 0,
but the gun does not.
this happens suddenly, might it be caused because I am looking around in external view?

but sometimes it happens since the beginning of the mission.
this make the mission fails since I can not fire the gun at target.

then when I replay the mission, I am stuck at the "bridge" waypoint.

the first time I played the mission, when I get near the bridge,
the waypoint changes to "attack" waypoint.
now it does not, I have reached the "bridge" waypoint, but the waypoint does not change,
I have restart this mission several times, but now it always stuck at the bridge waypoint.
so there is no way to finish the mission.

lockie, frinik and kyth,
what should I do?
do you guys know how to fix these bugs?

The default is the periscopic sight, which moves independently of the gun. Tap 'delete' to get to the real gunsight.

As I recall, in Mission 3 you're supposed to repel the German attack on the bridge. That is, all your forces have to be in position around the bridge to trigger off the next step.

That should be 'Pg Up / Pg Dn' to cycle to the real gunsight.  Tongue

Im not shure about the Kv1 but according to your first screen you are also in commanders position and not in gunners position.Key F1 is driver, F2 gunner, F3 commander, F4 mgunner/radioman, and lastly F5 is loader.

That's right, good call!

'F2' to the gunner position, then 'Delete' and 'Pg Dn' to call up the gunsight.  Grin

By the way, regarding the mission.

It appears the trigger contour is a rather small one. So when you move up to the bridge, do it boldly along the road instead of sidling in among the reeds.  Smiley

If you still manage to miss the trigger point, you'll need to back up a bit and muck around on your side of the river until something happens,

@Kyth,
I do not agree that the trigger contour is small.
The first time I played this mission, before I reached the bridge, my tank was still rather far from the bridge, the objective was already completed and the trigger changed to "attack" trigger.
However, my tank was heavily wounded before I could finish the mission.
so I want to replay it.

The strange thing is, even I fail the mission,
there is next mission: mission 4 in the mission list.
Then when I try to replay mission 3 since then, I can not get over the bridge trigger.
I have waited several minutes on the bridge, then move the tank a little bit to the front, rear, left and right, and get the bridge side damaged because of it,
but nothing happens.
Clearly, this is a bug, but there is no big deal, I just skip the mission and play the next,
I just want to report it.

@Donken
yes you are right, I was in commander position in the 2nd and 3rd screenshot.
however, please look at course indicator at the top right of the screen.
you can clearly see that the gun indicator is at 3 o'clock position,
when the real gun is at 12 o'clock.
is this a bug?

but now I can not replicate the gunner gunsight misalignment problem.
After at commander hatch view, go to gunner position (F2), then look at gunsight (insert),
you will find the sight is not aligned to the gun, but now it can be corrected by pressing (O).
so I think maybe my gunner was dead when I was playing mission 3,
so that (O) did not work that time.

@Kyth,
I do not agree

It's a small, small trigger contour. Have you not followed my advice? Follow along the road.

Anyway, if you think this is tough, you should try the Matilda campaign  Grin which the KV-1 missions were based on.

is this a bug?
No, this is not a bug. Commander also has his personal "gun" - revolver/PPSh Cheesy And u may move it and even shoot  8) This "gun" has start position at 3 o'clock, thus it's differ from the main gun position.

According to the mission #3 with KV-1. I checked out the script and there were some moments which were not clear for me. So, I applied some fixes. Here's what I got Smiley Unpack and install through JSGME.

If it's good, then I'll include it in the next update.

Incidentally, I would like to put a good word in about the Matilda campaign...  Cheesy I'd encourage everyone to give it a go for enjoyment and experience. I had plenty of fun with that campaign.

@lockie
Wow, you are really a genius!!
you really fix the bridge trigger.   Cheesy
I have no difficulty at all to get to the next trigger.

As you can see here, I have not reached the bridge, but the trigger is activated.

Now I can finish the mission successfully, no more bugs here.

Thanks again lockie,
I really appreciate what you have done very much.

@Kyth
I will definitely try matilda campaign later after I finish this one.
I am really enjoying this KV-1 campaign,
although there may be bug like in this mission,
the more I play SF, the more I like it.

BTW Is matilda campaign more difficult compared to this one?

It's more challenging because the Mathilda's 45mm gun is much weaker compared to the 76 mm F22 of the KV-1.You've got to be more careful as if you take on a Panzer IVF2 and your shots don't disable it then it's powerful 75 mmL43 will take care of you in no time. Likewise beware of Stug III F/Gs. Pak 40 and Flak 36 are also lethal. On the other hand you can take on the Panzer III J and the Stugs IIIC/Ds and Pak38 with little fear...
