For some time I am an owner of "Steel Beasts Pro" now, and I think, the editor there is fantastic.
Easy to use and with great details and possibilities.
Just think about a similar one in Steel Fury.... Roll Eyes

and your point is ?

There won't be any other editor for SF than the one we use already.

Or is your post meant as ad for SBP ?

No, no advertisment at all.
I really think, the SF is a very good game, so I only thought about the quality, if noth strengths would be added.
And I know, I will not happen... Wink

is it still like $100 to purchase? That's the absolute only thing that's kept me away from it.

Yeah! it's a $ 125.00 approx depending on the rate of exchange you use.But it's worht the investment as you can play that sim for years on.Plus it's a training software used by NATO amries for the ri tank crews so it's the most realistic and as close to the real thing( tank/armoured warfare)you can ever hope to find.

I would be more interested in it they put more effort in graphics. Now its just simple "training sim" graphics in it Sad And also, no track physics? Gah, for an application that expensive i want more eye candy Tongue

Ditto.

If I'm paying that much for a game, it better drain every last bit of graphical power out of my computer.

I'm with frinik on this one. While I am by no means uber rich (probably not even considered middle class anymore) and I will admit the $125.00 price keep me from purchasing SB Pro for along time I did finally make the plunge last year. Was it worth $125.00? Well after a year of playing it I can say yes it was...for me. While I'm just as much a graphics whore as the next person who plays sims on a PC, I do make exceptions for simulations that maybe aren't so cutting edge GFX wise but have very good immersion, probably why I still prefer BoB II WoV over Il-2 CLoD. Is SB Pro for everyone? Probably not, especially if your not into modern armor and modern combined arms tactics elements. I will admit also the mission designer in SB Pro is much easier to use then SFK42 or SABoW but it's just as powerful. SFK42, SABoW and SB Pro all reside on my HD and I'm extremely happy with all of them, each has it's own uniqueness that brings armored conflict to life on the PC, well on my PC anyway  Grin .
Cheers

Right on Panzerfaust! With SPB you are trading the high class supermodel for a brainy chick! I can already hear Skybird hastily coming to this forum and making his sales pitch.... Shocked

The price right now is at $100.00 as Meteor2 noted, but it might not stay there, eSims does run specials on SB Pro from time to time and this might be the case here. I actually paid $150.00 for my copy as when I got SB Pro it was at the 2.54 standard ($125.00) and then I upgraded to the 2.64 edition when it came out several months later. I wasn't going to do the upgrade but when I saw the new infantry models (goodbye 2D sprites), the ability to use UAV's and seen they were adding the T-72M and the Chally 2 I was hooked. Up until that point my favorite ride was the M1A1 but I'm growing really fond of the Chally 2.

The price for SB has been swinging back and forth the last few years.Hopefully if SABoW has solid success it might force them to actually lower their price a bit????SB could use competition.
