Here's a model of Jagdtiger only for 35$ Smiley
http://gunpoint-3d.com/model-Jagdtiger.html
It's interesting: 71000 vertices ~ 24000 triangles?

Nice job Kyth! Im gonna go over the template you sent tomorrow. Not home atm.

Lockie: faces/polys is triangles. So that model has 71k vertices and 131k "triangles" But if you remove the tracks on it you probably got 100k faces/polys/triangles less Tongue

I think you pretty much got it Tongue I can try though; skins are my area of expertise.

Well.. I'm not quite sure how I managed it, but I got the Jagdtiger to become one with its crew.. Literally...

if you rotate around the vehicle, an Panzerwaffe tanker uniform appears on the top. I can't tell if I should feel rather accomplished or horrified Cheesy

Just for reference, this is what its supposed to look like:

**NOTE. before the criticism, I haven't even gotten to test it out yet, as you can see Tongue

Strictly speaking, that is not historically accurate.  Shocked

There's something to add to the matlib.engcfg file, the 'readme' should have some details,

I was referring to the psychedelic screenshot  Smiley

Carry on, (maybe you should work within the layer in the template),

If you are dealing with .tga image files make sure to use the uncompressed option when you save your skin.

Hi all, a few things to note, in case you weren't aware already:

1. Be sure to add the following entry to the matlib.engcfg file, or you'll get some weird effects:

Quote
        JAGDTIGER()
   {
      shader = editor;
      textures = jagdtiger, jagdtiger_bump, mudnburn;
      parent = SPGUN;
      diffuse = 1, 1, 1, 1;
      ambient = 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0;
      emissive = 0, 0, 0, 0;
      specular = 1, 1, 1, 1;
      power = 32;
      detail_tscale = 0;
      detail_scale = 0;
      bump_scale = 1;
      fresnel = 0;

   }// end of JAGDTIGER

2. The template is in .psd and .xcf formats, which support layers. It's a good idea to merge those layers and convert the image to .dds format, if you want to try it out in the game.

3. The naming convention for skins is "techn_<tankname>_c.dds". In this case, techn_jagdtiger_c.dds. It should be saved to the '<Game>\data\k42\loc_rus\textures\techn\spguns\' folder.

Ahhh, see I was just overwriting the Jagdpanther stuff. How do you use it ingame if you can't access it in the Mission Editor?

I've created a generic gun sound for JT, just to recognize it from the other tanks shots.

You could try it first with the Object Editor,
