Here is a pic of the actual layout ,eventually i want to do a raised crew heater fan duct and maybe a few additions to the turret but first i need to get a handle on 3dmax and finish a couple of other projects. http://www.mediafire.com/?c6j8pjvg0r6987a

This panther of 1/Pz.Rgt.26 was destroyed by the desert airforce in the area of Massa Lombarda according to the caption in panzer wrecks 1&5.I have found these books a great source for camo and detail.

It's not Machen it looks rather like FAKEN.J ( most likely a name)with BGRD ( Brigade???) and beneath numbers/numbers etc...

The first word looks like "TAKEN," to me, so may not be German at all, but something written by Allied troops after the tank was destroyed.

Well, i think FW is correct. I have seen this before. Then it was the troops that knocked out the tank that wrote down who they where. So at a fast glance it looks like this to me: TAKEN BY ENGTR 14/XXX. So it could be that the tank was knocked out by engineer troops/english troops and the numbers say division and platoon. I wild guess

That would make sense to me.The usual love of soldiers for graffiti on trophies etc. There are graffiti in the Middle East dating back to ancient Egyptian armies....

http://www.flickr.com/photos/deckarudo/page318/ I found this a rather interesting site, over 7,000 WW2 war photos of mostly different German armored fighting vehicles.Unfortunately they aren't in any kind of file order to narrow down particular searching on specific vehicles.Still I find there is a wealth of information here eventhough the captions aren't very enlightening on alot of the photos.
