During my investigation why shell AP_MK2T for Matilda doesn't work again(!) after SPM UU installation, I found interesting feature abt STUG III C/D. (Thanks to 19will73 the error with shell AP_MK2T was fixed).
Now STUG III C/D has armor_str=2100;
Well, it's almost impossible to hit this spg even with T-34/KV-1 76mm gun, don't mention abt Matilda with 2pdr gun.
A couple pictures.
   
Stug got 24(!) hits and nothing important was damaged. Finally, he managed to destroy 2 BA-10 and my tank Matilda Grin
So, I'd like to suggest to decrease armor_str to 2060. What do u think change it or leave as it is?

Lockie I thought when NTA 1.4 came out that it was suggested to lower most of the spgs arm_str values form 2100 to 2000? I never understood why thye were pegged so high to begin with.Only heavily armoured beasts like the Jadgtiger or the Elefant should have a value above 2000.

In the vanilla game armor_str of Stug III is set to 2200. In APOS - to 2100.

armor_str has nothing to do with heavy armor. It represents hardness of the armor.  Pz. III and Stug III  on the same base had cemented armor (30 mm equivalent to 42-45 mm of the soviet armor). Early tigers had too in some places (60 mm of the lower side armor equivalent to 80 mm of british armor). So it is logical to set armor_str for those vehicles over 2000 (field tests may be required).

Late german vehicles like panthers, king tigers or late tigers didn't have that armor. So it is logical to set armor_str for those vehicles to 2000 or even lower (you have to make some field tests).

I don't think you need to  lower it anymore. It is now as it should be.

In the SPM1.5 NTA1.3 I decreased value for stug's from 2200 to 2100. So, it's time to decrease once again to 2060 and for Marder also Wink
