Kyuth was right they are indeed placed in the wrong spot.That explains why you can still play the game!You have 2 choices ; either re-install in a separate partition or deplace those folders to put them where they belong(cut and paste).

If I reinstall where can I find the patches/mods to bring the game up to scratch again as tanksim seems to have gone missing?

Reinstalled on XP and modded to 1.5, works perfectly except I cannot turn the B****Y music off. I've now got all the camp files so I'll try the desert mod next.

What music? You have the option in your game menu to turn voices and music off during missions

I know, but I've turned it to 0 and pressed apply and everytime I play a mission a few minutes in the music starts up but when I go back to options it's still set to 0.

OK, desert mods installed and working well with the slight problem of colour, the desert is bright green and yellow, really eye watering, any ideas why? Graphics card drivers are up to date.

Re the music just go to your:F:\official 1.5 sept\official SF 1.5 sept\data\k42\loc_rus\config
Open the config.encfg folder and check the following paragraph way down the page it should read like this:
//ìóçûêà i_musicman:musicman() { //ãðîìêîñòü ìóçûêè (èñïîëüçóåòñÿ åñëè íåò i_soundman) music_vol = 0.000000; //îòêëþ÷èòü ìóçûêó no_music = 1;
If the no_music is not set at & then just do it and save the change and your problem should be solved.
Noew re your cvoolour problem have you tried tinkering with the gamma slider and the other sliders in your video settings menu?
Try it and you may find the solution to your issue!

No more music, thanks. The clour problem was only in the desert missions and seems to have gone. The missions run really well, I'm going to have to find out how to make them as three is nowhere near enough. Thanks again to all of you for helping. PS do I have to put Kyth's missions in the mod folder?

Okay, this is now a separate thread (relevant to all missions and mods, not just the Desert mod)
