Title: @Rends Post by: Aces on February 20, 2012, 03:14:26 PM Hi mate,
This program is extremely useful in diagnosing BSODs http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed (http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed) I've used it a few times to diagnose crashes. Hope it helps Best Regards Aces PS: Don't forget to enable reporting for crash dumps thus: "Enabling crash dumps on your computer Possibly your system is already configured to write out crash dumps in case of a system error. It is suggested that you run WhoCrashed, click the Analyze button and check if WhoCrashed reports crash dumps to be enabled on your computer or not. To configure your system to write out crash dumps in case of a system error, take the following steps: Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Startup and Recovery, click Settings (or Startup and Recovery). Under write debugging information select small memory dump. For more information refer to following article. How to configure system failure and recovery options in Windows." On Fri 17.02.2012 15:32:31 GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini021712-03.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: keymagic.sys (KeyMagic+0x2F1B) Bugcheck code: 0x1000000A (0xFFFFFFFF805848EA, 0x2, 0x8, 0xFFFFFFFF805848EA) Error: CUSTOM_ERROR file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\keymagic.sys company: Apple Inc. description: Apple Keyboard Driver A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: keymagic.sys (Apple Keyboard Driver, Apple Inc.). Google query: keymagic.sys Apple Inc. CUSTOM_ERROR Well i´m not sure now if an update exsist but i will search for it. Title: Re: @Rends Post by: Aces on February 21, 2012, 09:31:43 AM Hi mate,
Glad it helped, if you haven't already have a look at the driver verifier bit: http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed_verifier (http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed_verifier) It is a tricky one, as one driver can cause another to fail, I have had several problems in the past with my onboard Realtek HD Audio and it didn't like T34 Vs Tiger one bit (lots of BSODs) and Red Orchestra 2 (didn't make it past the splash screen) so I ended up installing a cheap Creative card and disabling on-board sound in the BIOS annd it has been smooth sailing every since. Good luck, hope you get it sorted. Kind regards Aces |
