Title: Video of action

Hi all,

How do you make a video of your action to post to YouTube?

If you have an Nvidia graphic card then download and install Geforce experience. It's a free program offered by Nvidia which contains several features including optimising your games based on the performance of your gpu versus the game's requirements and Shadow Play a program that allows you to record and store videos of your games.

Here's the download link:http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download (http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download)

For ATI video cards there's the equivalent, a free program called Raptr. Incidentally, Raptr is not ATI exclusive and can be used with Nvidia gpus as well but works better with ATI ones.It offers the same features and some more including community stuff where you can post and view vids, forum etc.

Here's the link:http://raptr.com/ (http://raptr.com/)

For video capture I'd suggest CamStudio (http://camstudio.org/) or DVDVideoSoft Free Screen Video Recorder (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Screen-Video-Recorder.htm) (and probably you should install a better video codec - Xvid (https://www.xvid.com/)).

Downloaded Raptr and have uploaded some videos to YouTube. Seems the video quality is limited to 1080? I have the game set at 1900x1200x60 and it's crystal clear resolution. Other videos I've seen have better resolution than mine. Any thoughts?

Are you talking about the video quality settings in Youtube or in Raptr?

I think I didn't have the settings in Raptr set right, so it was limiting the quality for YouTube. I think I have it right now.
