German Paratroopers had different clothes and the WaffenSS Units had camouflage uniforms.

Hi Mistwalker! Well, the only greenish uniforms were early war wehrmacht tunics (M36, rather green version of feldgrau, included in the mod) and later HBT uniforms used since summer 1942 I think... So will your uniforms fit in late period of war? Al least mostly? Because for example russian uniforms slightly changed from 1943.

Afaik Mistwalker, German uniforms didn't uniformly become more greenish in the late war period - there were, however, a lot of different shades of Feldgrau, so ones would seem almost brown, while you had more greenish ones on the other side of the spectrum ( http://mainly28s.com/how_to/images/Fieldgrey.jpg). They were also sometimes issued with trousers and tunics that were in different shades, so imo there is no need to change these uniforms at all for usage in later war scenarios. Some things that became more common as the war drew on were low brown unpainted boots instead of high black jackboots, camouflage smocks, uniforms and parkas, camouflage helmet covers and fieldcaps, and painted camo helmets, with or without chickenwire, only to name a few If you're interested in reading more about the whole field grey issue, I suggest this article: http://mainly28s.com/how_to/figure_paint_wehrmacht_uniform.html

Hi, I don't know if anyone is interested but I added the shield decal to the german (M1940) helmet featured in lajcak's most excellent Wehrmacht Early War skin pack to produce an M1935 style helmet with the shield decal on the right hand side and eagle decal of the left hand side. I know the black/white/red is reversed, I'll correrct this before uploading If it's of interest I'll zip it up in JSGME compat format and upload to my Filefront site. Best Regards Aces

Hi chaps, Another thing that I've been working on, adding pink waffenfarbe collar piping for lajcak's excellent black panzer uniform. Best Regards Aces PS. And your own "throat ache" when you become a Ritterkreuzträger

Thanks mate, I'm just pottering about, Lajcak did some really excellent work with the uniforms. I'm going to upload the panzer uniform additions later, probably will include both "standard" pink pipped version and the "elite" version with the Ritterkreuz. I wanted to add the pink Waffenfarbe for early-war scenarios. If anyone could extract and upload or send me the german infantry 3D model preferably in a format I can get into Maya I have a few ideas with the UV mapping which, if they work will allow me to add a few more details to the infantry uniform. Cheers Aces

Nice work Aces! I would only suggest to work also with "bump" textures. You will get better results... An yes both your mods would fit into early-war scenarios. Three color helmet decals and piping were not common even at the beginning of Barbarossa in 41. It would be great if you could get models into Maya!!! Especially the model of panzercrew need to be reworked (to fit to a short panzer jacket). And do you think that you can create new 3D models? I mean for equipment such as breadbags, gasmask tins, headphones etc. (As you might noticed I used an empty shell included in the game for the gasmask tin which of course was not ideal:)) If your are interested look at this page to see what did Eastern European guys for Achtung Panzer. It is an amazing job. Might be that some models could be of use for Steel Fury... http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=66275Anyhow I have to finish new spring mod and plan to work on Russian and German mid and later-war uniforms. Unfortunately I have only little time for that... cheers lajcak

Hi mate, Firstly let me congratulate you on your excellent work with the uniform mod. I hope that I may be able to add some stuff when I get the models extracted and into Maya. I had a look at the website and there's some very interesting stuff there. I wanted to add a bit of variety especially for fellow movie making enthusiasts. What do you think of resurrecting the dark green collar on the M1936 tunic for infantry: Good luck with your Spring mod, I'll post back when I ghave more to show.# BTW do you know of a good free bump map generator prog?, I've tried a few over the years without much success.

Aces, I appreciate that you like the mod and you want to work on it:) I would say that the collar is too dark. Look at the artillery guys in the mod some of them have M36 uniforms (they are more greenish version of feldgrau; and have only five buttons). Thus I suggest to work rather with them if you want. I hope that you figure out the way to get original models to Maya... As I remember, Kyth said that the only way would be through "3DRipper". Unfortunately I use only Photoshop for creating bump maps and I am not familiar with any other program:( Good luck to you as well! lajcak

Hi mate, Thanks for the suggestion about the M1936 tunic collar. I'll see where I get to with 3D ripper. I'm sure that I have 3DRipper somewhere on my PC. With new bump (normal) map Best regards Aces
