Critical Bug

I have recently purchased Achtung Panzer: Operation Star and unfortunately can not get it to play. After reinstall I had downloaded the most recent patch along with the CORE download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once you download ,unpack the files to a new file on your desktop see if that helps,also you should run your updater as the administrator.

Unfortunately I have tried this, but to no avail. I purchased it through Gamestop download and the game does the entry Graviteam, then shows the user prompts. When I press options it tells me I have a critical error, but if I press start, it shows the different battle choices. When I press one of the lower buttons on the same page it tells me "critical bug". It almost seems that I am missing some files.

What version and what update are you using?In the upper right hand corner on the user prompts page it should say  version 5.80 update May .Does it say this?

No. It says v. 5.77.

5.80 is latest version to go with may patch.You can go to Graviteam home page and click on help for latest 5.80 core update.Also you will have to install(update) DirectX from June 2010 redists?http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
