Hello,

The 1943 Kursk skin pack was my 2nd most popular mod to date, (The IDF mod taking first at a whopping 400 downloads Grin) and, after gaining some more experience in GIMP, i've decided to do a redux version of the paintschemes. As far as I'm concerned, the original was merely a beta, as the schemes are faded and hard to see. So far, I've only gotten to the Panzer III, and it's still in the works, but I plan to re-do all the tanks that came out with the 1943 version.

Most changes will be making a more visible definition for most two-tone camo's, as well as adding a few Three tone versions and weathering, such as muddy mudflaps and the like.

Panzer III (note the summer mod and Kyth's interior. I recommend them both very highly Grin)

Thanks guys! Just as a question, what would you guys rather see;

Panzer IV three tone?

or the old panzer IV two tone with better contrasting colors?

Either one would be good!
If it's 2-tone, could we have it brown, instead of green?

True, but only 2 of those versions have different Paintschemes Wink

I personally don't favor this new brown overlay; I think it looks weird.

Actually, those shots look great!

What you have to do is tone it down a bit. The camo layer could be set to an opacity level of 60 or 70%.

Tone it down even more for areas like the turret top, engine deck and fenders. (opacity 20 or 30%).

Getting there.

If you could make the camo pattern more transparent. Especially the top surfaces, which I suspect they skipped painting, historically,

I agree with Kyth; this two-tones version looks great.Make the colours a bit more faded or weathered and it`ll be perfect! I believe the Tiger I had a similar camo pattern  Smiley

Just a question:
Wasn't the camo a field mod painted by the crew?
If so did they realy had air brush technique?
I would think they painted it with brushes.
If so shouldn't the edges of the color more sharp and not faded?

True. I hadn't thought of this. Please, be gentle with my newer versions; I did them in about 10 minutes and I'm very tired Tongue
