frink: Its done on the texture file itself. Not in the game or for the game so to say. Just select any .png file for example and then you can see the resolution on it Tongue

lajcak: oki, that was what i thought about all textures. Have you tested if the game works with 4096x4096 textures? That is probably not worth it on some textures but for ground texture maybe? Skytexture also maybe?

I only took an .png as an example. The game is using .dds as texture format. In photoshop for example, you double the resolution on the .dds file but the picture must have the same size. I know there is a tool for this in photoshop but im not shure for gimp.

What you can gain by this is double the details on the same texture when rendered in the game. Texture is alot less blurry. But lajcak can probably tell more exactly what he did. I only know the principle behind this, But i have no own experiance in doing this.

I have tried new sky textures right now. Resolution: 4096x2048. It seems to works. However, I do not know whether it makes any difference...

Wink Let me finish new textures for German uniforms (spring/summer 1941 - 1942) at first and then there will be a spring mod including new skies Smiley

Hi Lajcak, I've been playing around a bit with your early winter mod and noticed that the LoDs seem a bit weird - maps that would have lush green vegetation now seem empty and barren since a lot of tree and bush LoDs seem to be configured to make them disappear at longer ranges - is this intentional or?

Hi KapulA! Yes, I know it looks weird... I wanted trees and bushes look barren but their branches are almost invisible at longer ranges. On the other hand I wanted smooth changes when different lods applied. Any idea how to make them look better??? Smiley

Well, making them more bulky, like the regular spring LoDs would probably be a good start. Or maybe you could give the vegetation thicker branches to make them stand out better at range?

WoW! Absolutely stunning Lajcak!Do I see a night sky with a full moon?I have been bawling about the fact that you cannot have full moon night skies in SF implented in the weather settings!!!!

COme on guys!  it's time to remove the old Playboy calender off the wall and replace it with a Steel Fury one with Lajcak's Autumn, Winter and New Skies Grin
