Hi Andrey,

I have seen in the Readme of the August patch that the following changes have been introduced:

Quote
--- August 2012 ---
1) Fixed bug with displaying wrong helper page after loading a savegame.
2) A little bit changes in the speed and the nature of the movement for platoons on the operational phase.
3) The new format for patches and updates, installed directly from archive and not requiring a pre-extraction.
4) Enabled option 6.12 leads to a reduction of tactical interface, not just icons.
5) While paused, still showing the game time.
6) The apparent target are shown for all selected units (rather than one as before).
7) Highlight for the selected units and squads updated without delay.
8 ) Trench marks left over from previous battles are applied to the map during placement mode.
9) Added option for ultrahigh grass cover in the game settings.
10) The "simple shaders" option, turns on the PS 2.0 mode - recommended to enable on low-end and mobile graphics cards.
11) The algorithm of shadows rendering in the tactical battle is changed.
12) Added a grouping of units in the list of reserves.
13) Platoons disabled in combat can retreat to neutral territory (in this case, they do not disabled).
14) Added indication of the ability for infantry units and vehicles to capture territory.
15) Added the ability to distribute ammunition and fuel within the platoon.
16) Added ability to disband squads in quick battle.
17) Added tracks in grass from tanks and vehicles.
18) The visualization for selected units is changed.
19) Added indication for squad control by the commander.
20) The ability to change the size of the mini-map.
21) Added pistols and animations for it.
22) Changed and corrected some animations.
23) Some special effects is corrected.
24) Adjusted form of the trenches for infantry.
25) Increased the crew for some guns.
26) Added the 7.62 mm armor-piercing bullet B-32.
27) Added a mod stencil from Krabb.
28) Added weapons overheating and accounting interchangeable barrels and cooling type.
29) Added indicator of the presence and operability for the radio.

I want to ask about the last point:

29) Added indicator of the presence and operability for the radio.

Could you please explain how is the information shared between the different squads, platoons, vehicles,...?

How does the presence of a HQ unit nearby benefits the transmission of the information?

How does the presence and operability of radios influences the transmission of information?

Thank you very much for your help !!

By radio transmission within the division.
For AI from unit to battle group. For user from unit to platoon.

How does the presence of a HQ unit nearby benefits the transmission of the information?
Of course no. Transmission through the radio is one to many. Hi level commander, or simply partisan - transmitted in any way feasible at the same distance.

How does the presence and operability of radios influences the transmission of information?
Yes of course.
In current patch is "overpowered" feature - for all radios full duplex transmission in unlimited range is available.
In next will be crop by distance and type.
