Ski troops and others?

They are still in the game (for example in Krasnaya Polyana DLC - some Russian forces is a parts of Cavalary division). But ski and horses is a means of delivering on the battlefield, like a truck, so they remain on the operational phase, only increase the mobility of units.

P.S. What is "Cossack Cavalry" in terms of WWII? Units from the 17th century trapped in the future?

Shame we can't have ski troops actually using skis on the battlefield..

Well on the Russain front Cossacks still rode horses as did some German Units at the start ..same with the Polish..so no not units sent to the future..

I'm sorry, but that's not the Cossacks  in our reality
Cossacks is a militia from Southern places of Russian Empire (Central Ukraine and Don area) in 17th Century.
And somthing like police in last years of Russian Empire. Not USSR, Not WWII on Red Army side.

as did some German Units at the start ..same with the Polish..so no not units sent to the future..

In WWII its a light _infantry_ that uses horses to movement purposes. Not to ride on the battle field.
And Germans have more cavalary at end of war than at start Not German Cossacks of course 

In game this units for USSR already is present with uniforms and rosters. Horse movement on operational phase before battle.
