In SABOW are you only able to directly control/give orders during battle to M60 and T-62 units? Or is it more like Operation Star except you can also access the sim element in those two tanks? I saw mention of battles being "auto resolved" if there are no tank units. Can you choose to fight even these battles as if you're playing GTOS?

Only your tank platoon is directly controlled (via cockpit), other units (under you command, or allies too, if the respective option is enabled) are controlled via the tactical map only.

Battles without a playable unit are always auto resolved.
