Hi guys, I am curious to see what settings in game and on your gpu do you use for SF? As well if you can post what resolution do you use your CPU, RAM and GPU?
I think it can be useful info to have to trade tips and advice on what best settings to play the game.

On my main installs I use desktop an intel i7 760( 2.8 ghtz), 8 gbs of RAM, an ATI HD 7750 1 GB of gddr5. I play at res 1920 X 1080. I have have no AA enabled, I use multisampling, AMD tessalation on, ususally best performance for most settings and Vsync off( both on the gpu and in game). My average fps in heavy missions are 27 to 45 while for light missions from 45 to 60.

On my secondary install I use a Qosmio laptop with an i5 (323) 2.4 ghtz, 6 gbs of RAM, an Nvidia GTX560M 1 gb of gddr5 + the intel HD 3000 shared graphics.I use the native res which is 1600 X 900. No AA enabled, Vsync off and all settings on best performance. I usually get fps from 22 to 55 depending on the type of mission.

If I were to use both AA and Vsync on I experience a dramatic drop in fps, blurriness and choppy play.

*this mod causes ctd's on specific missions in 1.6, 1.7.01.

Wow! Good specs!  I use the 320.49 on my Nvidia they work well and gave me a little increase in performance. You might want to try them.

Don't worry about your sound mod, relief is on the way I am working a new one for NTA1.7.

You can enable AA with SF  there's a trick but it can be done!

What average fps are you getting?Huh?

BTW out of curiosity why did you chose the name of a notorious traitor for your handle??? Grin

Thanks, built for sim racing (rFactor)/flight sims (IL2,DCS) when sourced, only been updating the video hardware last couple years. Just coming back to tank sims. Haven't Had any FPS issues so never checked. I missed type my favorite install, the 1.7.01 is, I changed the guns that pointed to 2pdr sound to zis2 sound and the KwK43 (i think, it was one of the 88's). ...Lord Haw-Haw reasons: being quoted in the 12 o'clock high movie and satire, proof if you follow any nationalism you will be wrong.

Thanks, I'll give those drivers a try. I only update drivers when someone playing the same game suggest newer.

Ok the install that's giving you crashes is it the NTA 1.6 or NTA 1.7??? Do you have the sound mod 1.0 enabled last in the JSGME?

The reason you're having crashes is that each successive mod contains sounds files whether Beta 1.5, the Ultimate, SP Mod 2.0 or any of the NTAs .Thus the potential for files conflict is greater. This why whenever a new mod comes out I merge it with the previous one manually file by file until I get a single mod. I also merge all sounds files into one and thus reduce the potential for ctds. This what we are working on; creating a single Mod that will include all the previous ones. The new sounds will be awesome! Grin

NTA 1.7_01 w/ sound mod 1.0 (last): mp3.1 "Otto Carius" ctd 99.999%. 1.6 too, but don't care.
I'm slowly doing as you did, manual merging via JSGME. So far transfered some sounds from close combat: mg34, mg43, 50cal, 30cal and vickers (for besa), looking through many of my games for sounds.
Can't wait for your work to hit the streets.
