Amazon version

 I've been looking into this game for a while and am on the verge of buying, it but a few things are holding me back. Mainly the patching process is the Amazon version of this game up an to date version or will I have to patch it? Also has anyone had trouble with the Amazon version I know some people had trouble with SFK1942 and missing files. Any help is greatly appreciated

I suggest you only buy this game and DLCs from Gamersgate.

GG seems to be the only company that keeps a current version of the game and DLCs plus all the latest patches and updates.

GG usually runs a sale every 2-3 months for the game and DLCs also.

Regardless,you will still have to patch and update wherever you buy the game.
This game is a constant work in progress and if you want to stay current you need to learn the patch and updating process.

The current engine update is cu 5.81 c1 and the latest patch is aug13a.
All these should be available at GG to upgrade your game to the current level.

I don't think Amazon will have these updates and patches already installed.
I would go with GG for your best option.

GG current game installer includes the core update, the latest patch and the polygon update. So, updates are even not needed.

I second that, bought mine from Gamersgate and get my DLC updates and patches from their or, in the case of the latest update patch, from Graviteam's website.

Yep, GG is best option.

I third it..I even went and re bought it when it was on sale as I had the Strat first version. So now GG all the way.
