I'm new to this. Can anyone help? There seem to be 2 Mod routes - am I right? Either SPM 2 or SP(NTA) 1.7.1. Corresponding to the two threads at the top of the list in this forum.

Can anyone advise which Mod route is best?

Plus, at the moment it seems that tanksim.org is down. So as far as the 1.7.1 route goes, there are many files needed that I just can't get. Can anyone point to an alternative location for them?

The list seems to be :
1. JSGME
2. Unofficial patch_SF_v0.1_(ENG)
3. Upd_Sept_2013(NTA) (3 mods merged in one: SPM1.5beta+UltimatUpdate+Update_November2012)
4. Sound Mod (NTA) 1.0 compilation of the sounds, which adjusted to the same format: 44kHz, 16bit, mono.
5. Missions pack v1.1(optional)
6. Missions pack v2.1(optional)
7. SPM (NTA) 1.7.1 alpha (fix_04 included)
8. Mission_Pack_3.3b  (optional)
9. UpdNov_2013

Thanks to the kindness of others in here I have the first two on the list, and number 3 is available in a different place to tanksim.org. But the rest, plus all the optional weather mods etc, seem unobtainable. Does anyone have them?

Many thanks.

Having the Steel Panzer Mod 2.0 in a separate installation is the best way. BTW after reading your post and clicking on the SP Mod 2.0 download link of the first page of the sticky I had no problems, it started downloading?

I like both mod although NTA 1.7 is more complete because it's more recent... But 2.0 I find more stable and less buggy overall.

Thanks Frinik. When you say 'a separate' installation, what do you mean? That I should ONLY add SPM2?, and NOT the unofficial Eng patch? Or do I patch first with the unofficial ENG patch?

I could download SPM2 no probs also. It's all the files hosted at '4shared' that don't work. Mission pack 3, for example.

Sorry to be obtuse - you mean I should NOT use the unofficial patch with SPM2? I thought the unofficial patch came before everything?

No you can use it as it does not really affect any mod. Just enable it before enabling SPM 2.0.
