Alright I know, I got 4 options:
(1)  BG reduction
(2)  Strength reduction
(3)  Battlespace size
(4)  Graphic choices

But the thing I want to know is without have experience with each operation how do I get a sense how busy it will be.  Since I don't believe 1 and 2 can be changed dynamically.

In general, I have done 1+2+4, because I would like to keep the large map/fight size as I think it yields are more interesting fight than fight on two squares.

But I think in order to have tuned it for the largest operations, my small ops would have been able to be richer if I knew they were small prior to starting play.  Is there a list anywhere that rates op forces involved from small/medium/large?

Thanks.

PS1:  I don't think playing just the first battle as a test is a good indication, since it could be empty and massive reinforcements could come on day two.

PS2:  I also don't think map size alone or turns is a good indication.

Thanks!
