RAID - (Krasnaya Polyana, February 12-15, 1943)

The German 320 ID is preparing to break through the encirclement and escape to Kharkov. Armored group of the 2nd MIR LSAH follows to the rescue. Soviet 111 RD reinforced by a ski battalion are trying to hold the encirclement and prevent 320 ID from connecting with own forces.
On January 29, 1943 began the offensive Operation "Leap" of the South-Western Front forces. In the first days of the operation, positions of 320 ID and 298 ID were smashed and both divisions began retreating in disorder to the west. 298 ID could not be saved and it vanished almost in full under attacks of the Red Army units. Not wishing to lose the second, 320 ID, the German command developed a plan for its rescue: units of the 2nd MIR LSAH will reach the Andreevka area, between Zmiev and Balakleya. 320 ID will also arrive there. To ensure the escape of 320 ID, aircraft constantly supplied fuel, ammunition and food to its location, and dive bombers were actively used by its request. By the end of February 11, units of Soviet 111 RD had passed Krasnaya Polyana in the direction of Vodyanoe, aiming along the Uda river to Borovoe village, from where they could strike the rear of the MIR LSAH battlegroup defending Vasishchevo-Lizogubovka-Ternovoe. Block breakthrough attempts of 320 ID units, playing as the Soviet side, or break through the Soviet encirclement and save 320 ID units, playing as the German side.

UNDER THE CRUEL STAR - (fst.Bulakhi, February 23-24, 1943).

Battle south of Kharkov after its first liberation in February 1943. The Soviet 6th gds Cavalry corps and tanks of 201 TBde conduct mobile operations behind the enemy lines.
On the morning of February 20, the 11 CD 6 gds CC received the order to attack Ordivka and Bulakhi farmsteads, but did not accomplish the task, and by evening withdrew to fst.Klyuchevodsk where it was on the defensive until February 20-21. And 83 CD conducted battle for vlg.Borki for two days, positioned on the heights north of the village. But by the evening of February 20 was dislodged from the heights to the north, and entrenched in the forest. The next day, the cavalrymen attacked Borki again, but were able to capture it only by the morning of February 22. The same day, 11 CD reached fst.Podkopay and fst.Homenki again, and attacked in the direction of fst.Ordivka and fst.Bulakhi. Units of the SS LSAH division took defense here.

BLACK SNOW - (Karbusel, March 19-23, 1943)

The attack group of 8 A, reinforced with tank breakthrough regiments, is preparing to break through the enemy defense in the area near village Karbusel. German 223 ID occupies the defensive line, dense of engineer installations, developed system of trenches and obstacles, along with minefields.

FINAL OFFENSIVE - (Kalinovka, August 21-24, 1943).

AGAINST THE TIDE - (vlg.Korotich, August 23-24, 1943).

Battle south-west of Kharkov after its liberation in August 1943. The Soviet 5th gds TA and 53A are trying to break through the German defenses in the area of village Korotich, saturated with anti-tank weapons and reinforced with Panther tanks.
On August 22, 1943, at 17:00, German forces began withdrawing of the "Kempf" task force from Kharkov, preserving it from possible encirclement and destruction. In turn, the Soviet command at 20:00 began the assault on Kharkov, with the task to cut off escape routes from the city for the German forces. But in most parts of the city there were no German forces by this time, they were entrenched on the southern outskirts of Kharkov, in the Krasnobavarsky district located near r.Uda and near the Osnova railway station. In the evening of the same day, units of 53A and 5 gds TA, completed the crossing over r.Uda west of Kharkov, in the Shpakovka, Gavrilovka and Sinolitsevka sector, and began an operation to expand the bridgehead in the general direction to vlg.Korotich. A forward detachment was sent out, which was supposed to cut the Kharkov-Merefa highway in the area of vlg.Pokotilovka, which, according to the plan, should prevent the German forces from escaping Kharkov. PREDATORS IN THE MIST - (Kolomak-Levandalovka, September 12-13, 1943),
