Here is the final version of my new map Prokhorovka.

What you get:
Command either a T-34,SU-122,Panther,Tiger or the Stug-III on the biggest tank battle of WWII.
Original terrain based on google map heightmap

Get the final version here: http://www.filefront.com/17372583/Steel_Fury_Rends_ProkhoV1.zip

Readme:

Rends Prokhorovka Version 1

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Importand for beta users only!
If you have already the beta version of this map installed you need
to disable it in the JSGME mod enabler first!
Next you need to delete the following line you already added to your camp_list.ENGCFG file in following directory

c:/program files/Lighthouse Interactive/Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942/data/k42/loc_rus/levels/LEVELS/camp/

delete this line:

camp\prokho_camp.engcfg, prokho, txt_cm_camp_Prokho, true, img_single;

and save the file
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Installation instructions:

First make sure that you have the JSGME mod enabler installed and that the Steel Panzer mod 1.5 beta (or higher) is enabled.
Next copy the "Rends_Prokhorovka_Version1" folder you find next to this readme file into the "MODS" folder you find under
c:/program files/Lighthouse Interactive/Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942
Run the JSGME mod enabler and activate "Rends_Prokhorovka_Version1"

Next open the camp_list.ENGCFG with notepad. You find the file under

c:/program files/Lighthouse Interactive/Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942/data/k42/loc_rus/levels/LEVELS/camp/

2. Now add following 2 lines directly under the exsisting camp entries

camp\prokho_camp.engcfg, prokho, txt_cm_camp_Prokho,    true, img_t34;
camp\prokhower_camp.engcfg, prokhower, txt_cm_camp_Prokho1,    true, img_pz4;

Check install screenshot about how it should look like!
Close notepad and you will be asked to save the file. Click on the yes button.

Run the game and you find 2 Prokhorovka entries in the campaign list.

That¥s all!
enjoy

Notice the first 2 mission for each side are basicly the same just with different tanks.
This means also that the mission instructions stay the same.

Is it possible to use the winter mod tiles with the new terrain/map of this campaign (only for this terrain, leaving the spring terrain for the original campaign)? What files i have to edit to enable the winter mod tiles for this terrain?

BTW, great campaign and lot of tank busting !

  The Winter mod supposedly works with Beta 1.5 .All you have to do is enable it after Rends mission in your JSGME.

But i want the winter mod ONLY for Prokhorovka map - not for the whole game. If i install the winter mod i will overwrite all the spring tiles (same goes for autum mod). Maybe there is a way to tell the engine to use a different set of dds textures for the landscape in a map, and maybe it's encoded in the terrain map (polypack???) ...I don't know... that's why i'm asking.

POW I am not sure I understand what your problem is? Do you mean that you would to have the Kursk Prorokovska mod misison permanently in the Winter anf the rest of your game in the spring/summer( regular) fashion?

Otherwise I don't understand what the problem would be as you can play only one mission at time.The winter mod is only temporary and does not affect the stock game once you disenable it in your JSGME.Once you want the game back in its original spring/summer mode you simply disenable the winter mod and your game comes back as it originally was without any loss of texture etc... I used to have the winter mod but did not like it and removed it.But I have Lajcak 's autumn mod which I enable and disenable at will without any negative/ill effects on the game.

As for changing the textures to get one particular mod in winter and the rest in summer there may be a way but careful with tampering  you could end up having to re-install your game.

Apologies for dragging up old threads! Wink

I've been using this Kursk map as my default SF mission for months now, but would like to be able to change the tanks to something else (ie the SU152* to SU85) but my editing skills are very limited. Is there an easy way to change a group of tanks to another type without having to re-insert them (which seems beyond my ability so far..!)

*SU152 seems to be labelled as SU122 in mission text.
