Thanks. I PM'd you. Not sure I got through all the spam safety stuff..let me know if you didn't get it.(The messages don't actually say whether or not the message was sent so you may have a half dozen PM's from me!!)
EDIT:SOLVED! This time the batch file worked! I'm into the MB! Thank you for the excellent help!

Happy that it finally worked. In this game persistence and steadfastness are the mothers of all virtues... BTW I didn't get any message from you.

my goal is to be able to use the game as good as any others - such as you guys. Hopefully Panzerfaust & I will do just that.
One wonders how it went.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the spam-o-meter sending PM's. I type in the dumb letters etc..but it doesn't send. I must've sent you 10 PM's...or thought I was. I managed to build a basic mission last night from watching some of the video tuts, etc..provided by this excellent forum but I must be missing something along the way because, while my test mission loads just fine, it says "Mission Failed" within five seconds. I know it's probably something right under my nose that I'm doing wrong but I thought I followed the tut to the letter. Any ideas? Thanks again!

It might have something to do with the success/failure triggers you set for the mission - most likely tied to the force superiority ratio. Or you could have deployed your platoon outside the map area.

Ahhhh..thanks. I'll look at it again tonight. I'm not sure I played with triggers and etc..but I might easily have gone beyond the map area.

Make sure your tank is not placed outside the yellow line on the map. Preferably it should be placed inside the green line.

If you're editing a mission, there might be some pre-existing triggers specific to the balance of forces on the map. Switching the player tank from one side to the other may be enough to 'tip the scales', so to speak, and cause a premature end to the mission.

I like this game, but I'm total noob with tank simulators. Can someone explain me how can I estimate distance to target. There is something in manual but my english is not good and I can't understand everything. I know that in t34 I can use this vertical lines(i can use them to make corrections for moving targets too) but how exactly does it work? What does mean those numbers on these lines(8, 16,24...). How does work triangles in german gunpoints?

There is somewhere may be in the user's manual. If I remember correctly red indicates complete penetration, yellow partial and green rebound but I am not entirely sure.

There I found it under the:FAQ - "Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942" sticky just above your post:
Q. What does the colour of impacts mean? When does it mean penetration or glancing off round in the after mission statistic?
A. Two arrows, one shows whence the "shell", the second normal in this point has arrived. If arrows rather bright - the shell has pierced armor, if is not - not pierced. The button of below of the screen it is possible to filter display of vectors. - Green colour - all. - Orange - that have pierced and have made damages - Red - only have inflicted damage The signature at a vector following - the name of shell, <damage>, distance with which shell has arrived (damages can not be).
colour coding: - blue - shrapnel. - red - armour-piercing. - yellow - armour-piercing composite shot - dark blue - fragmentation-high-explosive. - green - cumulative (armor burning).
Q. 3. When the commander is
It pays to read the various basic stickies!

Being that the admin is probably Ukrainian, the grammar is somewhat hard to understand. I think I get the basic idea, but I still only understand the system partially. Tanks again, by the way

The following is a cleaned-up translation, which might be a little clearer:
Q. What does the colour of impacts mean? When does it mean penetration or glancing off round in the after mission statistic?
A. There are two arrows, one shows the direction of the shell, the second shows the normal at the point of impact. The brighter pairs mean the shell has pierced the armor, the darker ones are non-penetrating.
It is possible to filter the display using the buttons at the bottom of the screen. - Green - all. - Orange - those that have pierced and/or have inflicted damage - Red - only those that have inflicted damage
The captions at each impact show the name of shell, <damage>, and the distance from which the shell came (there may not be any damage from impact).
Colour codes: - blue - shrapnel. - red - armour-piercing. - yellow - armour-piercing composite shot - dark blue - fragmentation / high-explosive. - green - cumulative (HEAT).
Damage Codes: L - Lights (projectors, headlights, dimensions). S - Sights, periscopes. dr - Driver is incapacitated (contused, badly wounded or killed). gn - Gunner is incapacitated (contused, badly wounded or killed). cm - Commander is incapacitated (contused, badly wounded or killed). ld - Loader is incapacitated (contused, badly wounded or killed). mg - Machine gunner is incapacitated (contused, badly wounded or killed). 2l - 2nd loader is incapacitated (contused, badly wounded or killed). P - Track damaged. E - Engine. Engine destroyed or damaged. * - Fire A - Ammo. Ammunition stowage damaged. T - Transmission damaged. R - Radio damaged F - Fuel tank is punched GR - Gun malfunction HR - Turret turning mechanism damaged or jammed W - Weapons. Armament damaged. AC - Accumulator damaged

After trying to make a mission in the SPM 2.0 I get a CTD with this.. Exception core: 001: Error initialization program. obviously I tried to add some vehicles from the list of objects in the mission editor which are not available in this version of the SPM. is there a list anywhere of which objects are in the 2.0 and what is in the 1.5 SPM versions?? It is very time wasting because you cannot reload the mission to make any changes...

After trying to make a mission in the SPM 2.0 I get a CTD with this.. Exception core: 001: Error initialization program. This message does nothing. What is a percentage? (I've decoding text of errors, but it's in ukrainian language). is there a list anywhere of which objects are in the 2.0 and what is in the 1.5 SPM versions?? Have a look on this file: ...\data\k42\loc_rus\text\SPM1.5 NTA 1.3_units.text It is very time wasting because you cannot reload the mission to make any changes... It's a big painass, if u change smth and got error That's why u MUST make a backup (better twice) before to change anything
