O n the Oder and hunagry? Are you sure Kyth?
No confirmed evidence just mentioned in passing, so it's possible they were misidentified. Also, established units with the Jagdtiger were mainly deployed to the Western Front,

Donken try this link. It's a Carl Zeiss Jena link. They have good and detailed pics of it.Apparently was still used by the Nationale VolksArmee until the 1990shttp://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=scherenfernrohr%20sf14&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhome.arcor.de%2Fthuernagel%2Fsf14-e.htm&ei=3xOpTqbXKo3jrAeMnOnoCw&usg=AFQjCNEMAFn4WpM3sWwudaMDP6OKvvsTcg
BTW the longest homologated tank-to-to-tank kill ever recorded is by a British Challenger II equipped with a Rheinmetall 120 mm L/55 gun( incidentally the same company that made the Kwk43 L/71 taking out an Iraqi T72 at 3658 metres in 2003.And this is with on board computer and all the electronic gizmos that modern MBTs come with not to mention shells that can punch through 800 mm of armour!

But was the JT ever deployed on the East front?
4 vehicles at the beginning of May (antitank unit 653), but they haven't seen combat and surrendered soon. 2 at the same time in SS Panzer-Abteilung 101 - one lost tracks during march and one was blown up to barricade the road to soviet tanks. 1 vehicle in panzer kompanie "Kummersdorf" at the beginning of April - that one could've seen battle. Someone said about 9 vehicles from 512 unit in Austria at the beginning of May too but I haven't found any evidence about that.

Now you are talking about stuff i dont know so much, but you are probably right. But im pretty shure that everyone thinks the longest kill is the 5.1km kill from a Challenger against a static T-62 Homologated or not, Still impressive.

Here's another picture JT vs a teddy bear insignia It belongs to schwere Panzerjaeger-Abteilung 512, book "Last of the Panzers, German Tanks 1944-1945" by William Auerbach (1984). Also I saw a picture where was an additional MG/MP(bent barrel?) installed on the JT turret.

According to "Armored Battles of the Waffen SS", the Germans employed a platoon of 6 Jagdtigers in Czechoslovakia. 2 were knocked out and 3 ran out of fuel as they fought their way to the the Elbe with a PanzerGrenadier company.

That explains the pic posted by Lockie on October 22 of a Jagdtiger with a teddy bear on it! It actually was the symbol or mascot of the unit¨" A black, sitting teddy bear with a silvery outline.BUIt the Teddy Bear on Lockie´s pic was red rather than black.

Quite a few, from what I understand, though it was a running battle and therefore lacked the standard "hold at all costs, many Ivan's killed" routine of the Eastern Front. I believe one was knocked out by a Russian aircraft and the other by Czech insurgents. The three who ran out of gas or mechanically broke down were scuttled by their crews, who continued on foot. The entry is very limited, so I don't have all the gritty details.

Thanks murkz for reticle. I think it's possible to draw it and somehow use as a spare device to the main gunsight(in case if it damaged).

As I've understood the dimension mils is 10. There's a gap at the middle of reticle, suppose it's 4mils, so it's possible to shoot at the distance 700-800m. There's one problem how to attach it correctly as a commander sight.

If i got the sight i have an idea of making a "fake" turret that can popup for the sight only. So it should be possible and pretty easy.

I'm really shocked - 46 hits at my spg and still alive! I lose only when I was out of ammo wow hehe. But i think i should nerf the side armor a little bit, those two shots should have penetrated the side i think. Hard to see the angle on the picture thou. But the new model and armor map i sent you works well lockie? Still problems with the shottrap that shouldnt be there?

wow hehe. But i think i should nerf the side armor a little bit, those two shots should have penetrated the side i think. Hard to see the angle on the picture thou. No need. It works - PERFECT! But the new model and armor map i sent you works well lockie? It works completely - out of mind! I did a bit adjustment - decreased a bit of "p_rotgun" size and some else and... u can see result! Of course, it's my best achievement U still've a choice to get a shot by the game glitch, but it's VERY seldom. Still problems with the shottrap that shouldnt be there? Don't be bothered, model works PERFECTLY! THANK YOU!
